December Daily® 2015 | Day Seven

Welcome to  December Daily® 2015 | Day 07.

A quick and easy page and story today to start the week. I've also included a super quick overview of this page via video below.

Here's a look at Day 07 from my  foundation pages post

And here's what it looks like with words + photos added:

First up is the transparent page that says "the most wonderful time of the year" that was included with the Main Kit. I love this page. I mention in the video that it's a nice "break" in my stories as I transition personally from being without kids for the last five days to with kids. I didn't intend that when I originally put the foundation pages together but noticed it today.

Today's story is simply about Simon coming home this morning (a no-school day for him) and opening up his Advent calendar for the last few days and being in awesome spirits.

I repeated basically the same design for the card as I did for the short note to Ann on Day 02 which included an embossed title at the top of the card.

On top of the photo of Simon I added one of the rubber banners from the Main Kit which I trimmed it with scissors to adjust the size and added a small gold star above it.

Here's a look at the page outside of my album:

I really love how you include things like letters to the kids, or addressing them in your albums and projects. That's something I will do in my next project, which will probably be Week In The Life 2016. Maybe one a day like you did. Anyway, it's a beautiful reminder to them. And I like how you make the embellishments, and other things in the kit work for you. That banner looks awesome trimmed up like that. And I really need to learn heat embossing, been saying that for 2 years now. A heat tool and a couple embossing colors are on my Christmas list. I love what it adds to a layout or page. Michelle t

Perhaps it just happened that way with the kids being away, but I really love how the "characters" in your album are brought out one at a time, instead of multiple pages with everyone in them. I like the time and focus you give each one.

As a mixed media person I am usually all about circles and dis-doodles and circles. Did I mention circles? I am in LOVE with the project for a number of reasons, one of which is the clean, straight lines. I appreciate it can be whatever we want it to be....thank you again for sharing your story and creative ideas with us.
