Project Life® 2018 | Completed First Half Year Album Overview

Today I wanted to share a quick look at the completed first half of my 2018 Project Life® album

One of the things I try to keep in mind related to memory keeping: our stories don't expire

In this video I'm sharing a walkthrough of the fist half of my 2018 Project Life® album. In 2018 I was doing weekly documentation as I'd done each year since I started back in 2010 (this is different than my approach for 2019 which is monthly - working on my spread for June right now). Many of the spreads you'll see in this video were created using products from my monthly scrapbook subscription: Story Kits™. Each month of that subscription I include a process video showing how I used the products to complete a Project Life® spread.

If you'd like to learn more about my approach to Project Life® generally over the years check out my Storytelling With Project Life® workshop

I really enjoy seeing your layouts and learning from your thought process as you go through the weekly spreads. I am doing (attempting) the monthly process this year, but like you, have done the weekly in the past. However, I have my opening page done for 2018 . . . and that's it. It's encouraging to me to see how you are completing last year's album. Thank you, always, for your inspiration!!

I really enjoyed seeing your review of the first half of 2018. Gets me motivated. I'm sure you mentioned before somewhere but what was the white pen marker you used on the photos?

So will you have 2 separate albums for 2018?

It was so nice you shared.

For most years of Project Life when I was doing it weekly I had 2-3 albums per year. The white pens I like to use are POSCA Paint Pens: https://amzn.to/30xmyvU

    Hi Ali,
Thank you for always taking the time to give us walkthroughs of your Project Life albums. I think this one might be my favorite visually of them all. Really smooth design and color flow. Great job! Such a treasure for you and your family to look back on.

Thanks for sharing this - great inspiration. I recently received my purchases from your ‘stories’ sale and feel so excited to use them for the remainder of my weekly Project Life 2019

It's often a mix - sometimes I write as if it is that time and other times I write about it from the perspective of what I know today.

Hi Ali loved your walk through. Makes me feel better that you are not completely uptodate with PL 😂 ok question I know your pl is photo heavy but your words that go with them are you going off memory or have u notes somewhere to refer too. I’m doing monthly as I’m playing catch up. I personally have to scroll through my fb messenger texts diary as memory shocking. I’m going to try using one day journal for my trip to Disney ready to scrap when home fingers crossed as first need to work out how to us app😂😂

Most of the time I am going off memory or I am using Instagram posts :).

Ali thanks for reply, I just found your reply which has just reminded me I’m going to us one day journal I’d forgotten I’d said that yikes. My memory sucks. I’ve 11 sleeps to go. I’m also thinking of taking PL cards for the characters to sign so I then can just place them into the pockets when get back xxx
