These are 6-ring albums with a 2.5 inch spine and stitching around the exterior and interior edges.

Over the last few months I've been playing around with the idea of creating a 6x8 album for each of the awesome kids that are now part of this family. I've also just been experimenting with 6x8 sized layouts to see what I think about them in general - are they a good match for the kinds of stories I'm into telling these days?

Most of the 6x8 layouts I've been making have been included in the Story Kit™ classrooms and I have grown really fond of this size. I'm not planning to quit doing the larger sized pages (both 12x12 and 8.5x11) or Project Life® spreads - they are all part of my overall memory keeping adventures - but I do love the 6x8 size. What I really love is having a choice based on the stories I want to tell. This size often feels just right for my photo-centered, story-based layouts along with a few intentional embellishments.

My goal is for each kid to have a 6x8 album that tells stories about them. They won't be albums that start at the newborn stage, they'll just be stories starting from this point going forward. I want to document stories about each one of them as they come up and as I feel inspired to record certain things I'm witnessing in their lives. They will be word/story heavy and they will communicate love.

In addition to the albums for the kids I will also have an annual album or an album that holds a couple of years depending on how many stories I tell that are this size. I could add these to my larger 12x12 albums but I like the idea of having a home for them that is smaller.

The layout above is one I made for a lesson in my Hybrid workshop which teaches you how to use digital products on paper projects. This is now a self-paced workshop that you can begin at anytime.

I was seriously so happy when I was finally able to put these layouts into albums.

Here's a video that will give you a closer look at these albums and I explain a bit more about how I plan to use them:

As always, thank you for your support of my brand and my mission to encourage and empower us all to value our own stories.

Give your projects a home!

So happy to see these! I love that they are nice and wide! Thank you for adding these to your line. Off to order me a couple of them to document this year - which I had been putting off because 12x12 is just too big for me and I didn't want to have 4 albums for one year...

Love 6x8. Since doing WITL last year, I decided to do an album for each of the kids this year. It's so much more manageable, which means I'm better a keeping up to date with it this year. Just finishing off this year's WITL. When the kids albums are full, I'll definitely keep your albums in mind when ordering new ones. They all look so nice on te shelf together! I love your supplies! ☺

These are lovely, and the griege is awesome!

Are these going to be in your permanent collection? I'm moving this summer, and would rather order them to my new address rather than have to pack them!

These albums look amazing! I love, love, love the big spine size. I'm on my fifth year of doing 6x8 yearly albums. We can't have kids, so a weekly Project Life seems like too much, but this smaller size is great for the key activities and stories of our lives per month. I find that other albums are sometimes too small, so the expanded spine size is enticing and exciting!
By the way - love some of these great layouts that you have created! It inspires me to do more full-page stories with a single photo - they are clean, neat, and really share a lot. I tend to be a bit heavy on too many photos! ;)

    Hi Ali,

Just checking--are both albums the same size? The black album looks small compared to the greige album on the video. Thank you.

This is awesome Ali! Just ordered a black one and I'm sure I'll be back for more. Just want to put a suggestion in the queue for the same kind of album in 9 x 12. That is the size I've settled on for PL (and seems a lot of people have) but there aren't many album options out there.
Thanks for all you do!! This made my day :)

I love, love, love these albums. Thanks for adding to your product line. They will be perfect for my story kits. They will coordinate nicely with my 12x12 We R Memory Keepers albums. I'm so excited. I must go now and start ordering. :) On average or in your album how many page protectors fit in one album? Thanks.

I'm not sure about this since I haven't filled on up all the way yet. I think you could look at past December Daily® or Week In The Life™ projects to get some kind of an idea (these are the same size as those).

Love the 6x8 size albums. Do the 6x8 page protectors with the 2x2 slots currently for sale in your shop fit these new albums? I was hoping to order those.

I would love to see them show up in some of your ink colors some day. Like the red and orange would be cool. :)

Yay! I love the 6x8 size for WITL and trip mini-albums, but it's hard to find the 6 ring version which I prefer. (It's cuter and easier to add a lone 4x6 photo or other insert without the protector. :-) Would also love a linen or other non-pleather option.

I just started using the 6X8 albums after doing my DD in them for a few years...I love these!! The fact that they are nice and thick 2.5" is FABULOUS!!! Can't wait to order a couple! I may do my OWN STORY in this size...a project I've been wanting to start for awhile now...:) Would like more color options..but I'm sure that Ali has it covered and we'll be seeing them soon!!

Exciting! I'm also hoping for some non-pleather (linen or glossy chipboard) and additional colors, especially Olympia and Columbia and Pacific and Cascade.

Ali - the free shipping did not seem to automatically apply. Is there something I need to do? My order is over the $49.00 requirement.

Huzzah! I have a bunch of 6x8 pages about all sorts of different themes that have been living all smushed together in a spare album I had. Just ordered three greige albums to get me started on a new system. Perfect timing, since lately I've been mulling over how to scrapbook now that our family has grown. Thanks, Ali!

These look awesome, thank you for such quality items that are neutral and simple enough to go with everything! I'm excited about these! I was also hoping I might suggest 2 additional product items - 1) 6x8 albums in a smaller spine, like the size of the gold diagonal stripe OLW album you had. I like using these for smaller projects (like a short weekend trip small album or an album of a simple photo session) and they're impossible to find! 2) a 2x6 page protector that is split into two vertical 2x3 pockets. Right now I've been cutting down the bigger 4-pocket page protectors, but it seem so wasteful. I'd love to be able to buy some read to go, similar to your 3x6 strip pocket protectors. Thanks for the consideration!
