Introducing My Story : A Collection For Kids + Kids At Heart

I'm excited to announce a brand new collection for kids + kids at heart called My Story

My Story is created with kids between the ages of 8 + 12 in mind, with the goal of creating products to encourage storytelling and documentation through the process of play.

The idea of this collection is something we've been talking about behind the scenes for a long time. With five kids between the ages of 10 and 17 I'm always looking for creative, fun, and meaningful projects that don't involve a phone or other screen.

Here's a video overview by Anna + Audrey that walks you through what will be available tomorrow:

Here are still images of the new My Story collection

Starter Kit : $39.99 | Includes 3x8 navy cloth album with page protectors, adhesive backed wood veneer people, storage pouch, circle puffy stickers, paper stickers, chipboard stickers, 3x8 prompt pages, 2x3 cards, 3x6 journal cards.

Along with the Starter Kit we've got some additional fun things to play with:

My Stories 4x6 Stamp Set : $15.99

My Story Rubber Shapes : $9.99

My Story Clickable Pen : $2.99

My Story Washi Tape Bundle

My Story Transparent Dividers + Labels : $11.99

PLAYING WITH MY STORY

Audrey + Anna had an awesome time testing out the products and starting their own My Story projects.

A couple things I learned (or was reminded about) while watching and filming these two last week:

  • I love how kids just play. They aren't worried how it's all going to turn out, they are just enjoying the process. This project is an awesome opportunity to continue to encourage that kind of play.
  • I love seeing what they chose to write in response to the prompts.
  • I love the discussion between the two that happened while they worked side by side. This is an awesome project to work on with a friend or a group of friends or to work on alongside an adult (it would be super cool for a kid + a grandparent to play with this togheter). Conversation seems to come naturally while working on responding to the prompts.
  • I love seeing how they decided to add their family structures to the front of their album. I didn't give them any direction - just gave them the products and let them start playing. You'll hear Anna talk about it in the video below - which is totally funny and an awesome way to own this piece of her story.
  • I love the opportunity to simply start talking about how their own stories matter.

While they were working on their albums I turned on my camera and asked them a few questions about writing their story:

So fun.

As with all my projects, there's no right or wrong here.

I'm so excited to see what they end up adding to their albums over time. We've got additional products planned for future releases that continue to encourage this kind of storytelling.

Thank you so much for checking out this new My Story collection.

Oh my gosh, I love this so much! I have an 8-year-old who will love this, and I'll enjoy helping her because I can't remember the last time I scrapbooked despite continuing to buy products LOL.

This is so awesome!! I don’t have kids. Not really around kids much either. Just how it is. But I remember coloring & playing with stickers & drawing, and LOVING creating & playing with all of that kind of stuff!!! This is such a gift to kids (& their families)! What an awesome way to encourage kids to tell & celebrate their story, and their life!! Anna & Audrey you guys ROCKED this intro video! 👊🏻👊🏻

Hi Ali - just wondering ... the first photo with a hodgepodge of the items, the stickers/paper colours look quite dull and pastel-y, but the photo of them lying flat organized the colors of the same items are very over saturated and sharp bold colours, which I love. Which is the true colour, please? I just don’t want to order and then find everything all soft pastels. (The multi colored pinwheel sticker is especially different in the photos, for example)

Hi! The top photo is definitely more muted - it has to do with the angle of the photo and the light source coming from the window behind. On the chipboard sticker sheet the top rainbow and circle are muted. The square with the pinwheel colors is saturated and bright - so overall there is a mix. Hope that helps!

Love this. So cute and fun. This year my daughter is entering middle school (GASP). This would be such a fun way for her to document the year! Thanks for creating kits that matter!

This looks so awesome! I’m wondering if we would need to buy separate acrylic blocks for the stamps or if they’d fit on the clear ink pad covers?

I’ll be setting my alarm to get this kit (and a lot of irresistible extras) for my daughter’s 9th birthday. 😍 I would love to see a gender neutral teen kit someday. My 12yo son would be into that.

It's mini-me x 2. So sweet. Great job girls and a lovely product. Just sorry I don't know anyone in the age group to give it to. My family are all in their 20s (but they would secretly still love it).

Amazing kit, My daughter is turning 5 in two weeks I am getting this for her birthday. We both watched Audrey and Anna's video and we were sold. My daughter asked me if I would buy this for her and I can't wait to see how she works with it and have her start documenting at her age. So excited that the video excited my daughter in an area of creativity and writing it was so good. Thank you Ali and special thank you to Aurdey and Anna from Abigail my daughter she is a huge fan.

Love it so much! I've been indoctrinating my b/g twins for a long time, (they did great with the 2018 kid's kits), so even though they are only 6, I got it for both of them (they loved the videos of Audrey and Anna). I also got an extra set of patches and rubber pieces for me!! They are so excited. Me too! I'm planning on taking some of that 8.5x11 cardstock I never use and cutting some 3x8 cards in rainbow hues for them. I bought some extra page protectors too. This is gonna be fun.
