Project Life® 2024 | Week 08

Tags:

Have I written recently how much I'm enjoying this project this year? Something about it feels "just right" for me in this season and I'm feeling really thankful.

Week 8 includes a couple photos from our vacation and then it's right back to regular life stuff. I had fun creating some outside the page protector flip ups using washi tape and cut out cards from a 3 inch x 8 inch paper in the Savor Story Kit (more on all that below).

Here's the video for this spread:

Now let's take a look at the spread vi images:

This is my first week this year without an insert - no value judgements just an observation.

For Week 08 I decided to tell my story using a few things from my stash along with a couple new items from the Savor Story Kit.

Some of you may remember that I started organizing my embellishments by shape back in 2021. I'm still super happy with that decision! It makes it super easy to add little repeated shape embellishment clusters like I did on this spread. I added three phrase chipboard pieces to three of my 4 inch x 6 inch photos. I love mixing and matching them from different past themes to support the story (both facts + feelings) I'm telling.

I used a couple journal cards from the Savor Story Kit and handwrote all my journaling this week.

I cut these small savor story cards from the 3 inch x 8 inch paper in the Savor Story Kit. I used washi tape from Illustrated Faith that I folded in half to create a flip up on the outside of the page protector. I stapled the washi tape in place and then taped it to the back of the photo.

On the underneath side of these cards I added puffy hearts from a past release. This would be a fun place to add more journaling, another photo, pattern paper, etc.

It's a fun way to add an interactive element outside of the page protector!

Here's what the spread looks like when the cards are flipped up:

On the bottom two 3 inch x 4 inch photos I stapled canvas phrases from a One Little Word® release.
