December Daily Album : Day 12 + 13

Tags:

Been glued to my computer finishing up the main portion of a "work" project the last couple of days. It is a graphic design intensive which requires some different technical skills (and a bit of reading in my Illustrator manual to remember how to do certain things). Turned it in this morning; awaiting revisions; and then I will be back to finalizing the files.

In the meantime I got to put together days 12 and 13. For day 12 I used a postcard that came as part of a gift I am giving (Port 2 Port Press' Card Society). I like the idea of adding in Christmas cards (you could easily add in a bunch - just change the rings to accommodate the additional pages) as part of the documentation for this time of year. You could leave them as is + punch holes or you could cut them up and use the back for journaling. This card happened to be a postcard so I was able to write about my day on the back:

And for day 13 I decided to use a photo I took of myself last night while taking a computer break:

The transparency is a clock from Heidi Swapp that I cut to fit into the album. Love the addition of the curve. White pen on my photo is the Sharpie Poster Paint Pen. I used a craft knife to cut the photo along the curve of the clock.

Along the top of the photo I stitched some trim that had come in the Cocoa Daisy November kit. Loving that bit of added texture. And yep, that's a poncho. The journaling talks about how I get cold while working on my computer for long periods of time - found this poncho at the Gap and it is perfect (and a nice break from the cardigans I usually wear).
