Something special about me — when I’m in pain, I laugh and cry @ the same time – so when I’m at the dentist or doctor we never know if I’m coming or going — but we are always smiling.

Ok something special about me…. I can explain technical stuff to non-technical people, through my nifty use of metaphor. I mean who else would explain the process of carbon fibre component manufacture by likening it to laying pastry in a flan tin or the mechanisms of a sliding sash window to a club sandwich. So I suppose my special talent is speaking reverse geek.

The special thing about me right now is my ability to quickly flip my glass upside down and see it as half full instead of half empty! I know many people are able to do this all the time, but for me it has been a work in progress!

What’s special about me right now is that after a divorce, I find myself starting over from scratch. And rather thinking of it as “having nothing”, I’ve really and truly embraced the notion of “having a clean slate”. I think that being able to have that attitude when it could be so easy to wallow is indeed special.

Even on the darkest days I can look around me and remember what I am grateful for. Life is beautiful and I choose to look at things from a sunny perspective. I like to remind those around me that your perception of life is what creates your reality. :)

Something special or exceptional…that’s tough. I (grudgingly, at first) gave up a career as an attorney at my dream job to stay home with my kids and to help get my family back on track. I regretted it at first (and it was a very hard transition), but now, I wouldn’t take back the decision for the world.
