On Monday night I took the kids to see the Smurf movie.
The movie, in my humble opinion, was just okay. The kids liked it – which is what matters most when you venture out on a Monday night to see a kids movie.
My favorite part was the photobooth.
The only thing I didn’t like is that all the options including graphics – I’d be much happier with the plan old white border without any text or other images.
Come to find out this photobooth also does videos. There’s no sound to this video but I really kinda love it.
This was my first experience with a video photobooth. Talk about modern technology. You get a great little photo strip but then you can go home, log onto your computer and see a video of your photobooth session and be able to upload your strip to Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, etc. You can also upload individual images which I thought was cool.

How cute the video is and the pictures. I have to say this world has come a loooong way in technology. The kids did great and look so cute. I’m not sure yet about the Smurf movie too, told the kids maybe to wait for the video instead.
I saw two new cool things for kids this past weekend also. One was at Old Navy where we barely shop at but did this weekend. They have a projector floor game for kids to play on. The projector sits on the floor and lights up different games on the floor and the kids use their feet to play basketball, hockey, skipping stones, jellybean match, puzzle pieces to put together and more. I loved playing on it and got the name from a clerk to see about ordering it. This is a great way to keep the kids happy while you shop.
The other cool thing was at the mall and it’s a booth you get into and blows air at 185mph and feels like a hurricane. The kids we saw in it loved it and their hair was blowing every where and they were laughing and cold at the same time.
So fun to have these ideas for the kids. Have a great day.
Love the pictures! Love the video!
I haven’t seen these photo booths nowadays around here. I remember when being a teenager that we frequently visited the booths and tried to squeeze in as many friends as possible.
Love the way Anna holds on to Simons chin
I’ll definitely be looking out for a photobooth in shopping malls. I would love to have such a picture taken together with the children.
I love how the kids take turns holding each other’s chins/faces. So… cute!
You are all soooo cute! You three have wonderful smiles and your kids are adorable. I’d like to hug you now
Thanks for sharing the video!
that is just adorable…i love it!!
Ali Anna’s eyes are just gorgeous. Looked like a hoot.
LOVE this. you can even hear the “click” when the picture is being taken. my favorite part is anna’s hand on simon’s face …. will you download the video and add it to your daily scrapbook?
such a beautiful family.
Love it! What a wonderful little snippet of everyday life.
So cute how Anna was holding Simon’s face and then kissing him. You can see how much she loves him
Your kids are just gorgeous! And I love the way they interact with one another – they obviously adore each other. So adorable. Thanks for sharing.
I loved seeing the kids’ reactions and interactions with each other. So naturally affectionate!
I’m with you, Ali. I don’t like that our photo booth at the movie theater has graphics on every choice either.
Love the way Anna puts her hand on Simon’s chin….sweetest thing ever! And when she’s trying to kiss him and he turns her face around to the camera…so cute!
I love this!! I will have to love for a photo booth next time we go to the movies! Thanks for sharing.
I love this too Ali! Love how Anna tries to kiss Simon and he gently and kindly tries to move her face back to the screen. TFS! Hope we get a photobooth at our local theatre like that one!
Have a great Wed.
Oh I smiled so big! This made me happy!
awh! kisses for brother from lil sis! what a sweet video, ali.
Ali- I love how Anna has her hand on Simon’s chin. I also love how she tries to kiss him and he tries to redirect her back to the screen and keeps his hand on her face in case she tries to move again. The photos and the video are priceless.
I love that picture!!! Beautiful family! And I hadn’t seen the video part yet either! Have you seen PocketBooth for your phone – mine’s on the android system, but I’m sure there’s something similar on iphone too. My kids LOVE it! and you can upload/email the photo strip too.
It was really fun to see the video – Simon’s excitement when what appears to be when he first noticed the screen, you explaining the process, Anna’s hand on Simon’s cheek… I really like the combinations of photo and video.
Adorable! I love the way Anna is holding Simon’s chin. And in the other picture, I love how Simon is holding Anna’s chin. So cute
I also took my kids to see The Surf’s movie and feel the same. But I did love how they paid homage to the original artist. I’m hoping to run into this type of photo booth myself
Love the pictures. Your children are gorgeous! Simon is so handsome and Anna has such a classic beautiful look. I loved that she held his chin and wanted to kiss him for the silly picture. Thanks for the share.
So cute, love the kids in the video. Simon is getting so big!
Sweet video…. agree with not much choice to use for to use to keep.
Love your kids show the love each other.

I absolutely love the way Anna holds Simon’s face. Adorable! You can tell they have a great realationship.
That was fun!!
I love the way Anna was holding onto Simon’s chin in the first part and then how he grabbed her sweet, little face and moved it around to face the camera – they are a great little pair
Your kiddos’ smiles are so beautiful. Such a lovely family!
What fun in the video booth. I loved watching the kids.
This is soooo fun!!
Your kids are beautiful! Simon is getting more handsome and Anna is so cute with her big eyes!
Thanks for sharing Ali.
I love it! I especially love the way that Anna puts her hand on Simon’s face. So much love!
Oh my gosh. That is the cutest thing ever. Loved the video. How cool is that! As always, thanks for sharing some of your family moments with us, Ali.
such cute photos and love the video!
my girls and i found a similar booth on saturday and i have to agree that i would prefer plain old white border without any text or other images. whe best that I found was a b&w film strip. we were able to watch the video as the photos were printing. so cool!
I love that she is holding Simon’s chin… so precious!! She has stunning eyes!! I miss the old style as well, I have tons from back in high school with my friends!!
I love that first picture, especially how she is holding Simon’s chin. so so sweet!
Love the photos. Your kids are so cute. The video is cool!
What a lovely video! Yes, I also like how the kids interact, holding eachother. But what I like most is the anticipation in Simon’s eyes when it all just starts…
Simon is adorable! Can I say that about a boy his age?
This would be fun to try with my kids – I’ll have to keep an eye out for a photo booth.
Love the video & I think it’s so sweet how Anna was cupping Simons chin. They are both just too precious.
I love this photo booth..I hope one comes to my area. I took my teenage boys to the movies and we went in the photo booth to have pics taken and it was quite funny, my boys are 6′ 4 and 6′. It was a very tight fit but it worked.
Adorable!! I hope I run across one of those soon!
Love the way she is holding on to Simon’s chin, especially in the second photo. Too cute.
Love your posts! Love being reminded to keep it simple … tell the story … get it documents and down! I am still doing the documentation for my “week” in the life summer edition (lol) Which turned into two and a half because we had friends fly in which accounted for even more important moments. I am so glad you encouraged and orchestrated this event.
I love photobooths! My daughter and her best friend do this each summer when they visit each other and do a strip or two each. What a time capsule. They are seniors this year so this set is extra special and I hope they fly to each other next summer to continue the story.
I downloaded a photobooth iphone ap at the beginning of the summer and we’ve used it a lot! Especially my six year old. He uses it with his friends all the time. Especially when meeting new friends at the park to remember them. I am thankful parents are so easy going about letting him take pictures with their kiddos. We have yet to have anyone say no.
Smurfs:
I love the memories being rekindled from when my siblings were young and obsessed with smurfs. (My sister was a Strawberry Shortcake and My Pretty Pony girl too.) My brother still has the folder and bookmark with a note I wrote inside when he was ten and had just had surgery. I think about all of the trips to the store I made with them on foot to buy them a special item they really “needed” at the drug store and getting a bottled, ice cold Coke from a machine. While I didn’t love the smurf movie, I love the stories I can share with my children, niece and nephew from when we were young.
Hugs to you!
how cute is that video?!!
Simon looks like the sweetest boy!!
we just did a photo booth visit while on vacation in myrtle beach and ours was a blababooth too.
super cute.
Your entire family is beautiful, friend, but your sparkly-boy is STRAIGHT. UP. HANDSOME.
This is adorable! I’ve never seen the photo booth with video. Simon and Anna are such beautiful children. Thanks for sharing!
How lovely is this! Both Anna and Simon have such mobile, lively faces and huge dark eyes … stunning! (and nice to see you in motion, rather than as a still!
).
That is so cool! I will have to check out our new photo booth at the theater to see if it has such cool options!
Your kids are way too cute!
That is so cool Ali!! love it
Wow, was reading this on Flioboard and had to go to the web to say how beautiful Simon’s eyes are only to see a million people beat me to how beautiful you all are lol.
