Welcome to Project Life 2012 | Week Twenty-Three.
This week has been sitting down on my kitchen counter for the last few days waiting for me to bring it up here to get it completed. Sometimes that’s how it goes. I thought I had a lot less photos for the week, but ended up finding a few more on my iphone that I’d forgotten about. Love that thing.
Bring on summer. That’s where I’m at right now.
On that bottom photo of Simon I added a Memory Circle with a bit of journaling on the inside of the circle.
I printed a couple of the Slanted Days 3×4 Cards onto an old sheet of lined paper and cut them out and rounded the corners.
On top of that I tore one of the PL Clementine main kit journal cards and added it on top of mine (you could totally do this with any pattern paper).
I really like that Echo Park Pretty Polaroid paper – I decided to cut a few of those out and use for journaling here (stapled on top the Slanted Days Tuesday card).
The front page of the insert is a map Simon did about zebra’s (from school).
A letter from a friend’s cat to George (our cat).
Used “summer delights” from the Hello Sun word art on that top photo of Simon.
Used that Echo Park Pretty Polaroid paper again on the second page. Totally love that photo of Simon and Anna at gymnastics.
A new set of summer 3×4 sentiment boxes will be available this coming weekend (includes ‘hello sun“). I cut this one using the Silhouette.

I love how those silhouette sentiment boxes are an ongoing theme in your album. Thanks for all the inspiration!
Question about Summer Manifesto PSD – I’m printing some out. Did you glue pages back to back? What did you use? If I have more questions, where should I go to ask?
I did glue the pages back to back. If you have questions you can post them in the comments or send me an email.
Can we talk about Anna’s bathing suit?! Love it.
I’m really liking those Slanted Days cards too.
The black one? It’s actually a leotard (from Target)
.
Geez!.. Love it.. Can’t wait to pay day.. I need those brushes!
Love, Love, Love that picture of Simon in his sunglasses…he is so cool! Reminds me I need to show Drew your post about Simon’s Lego video.
I loved how you printed the cards on an old piece of lined paper. It flows seamlessly with the design.
Hello! Loving PL and so glad you and others inspired me to try this year. Question about Epson Picturemate: can you print the different sizes with borders from computer or only directly from camera card? My Canon Selphy can only print the non 4×6 direct from camera or camera card. Thanks!
Send some sunshine to Portland area; last day of school is tomorrow!
Best,
Amy
Hi Amy – I’m printing from my computer (either from Photoshop or direct from Aperture) to the little printer (I don’t just print from the card).
Completely love what you’ve done this week!!!
I love your pages this week. That’s so sweet that your parents popped in and helped you with the planting. Mine live too far away for that (on the opposite side of the world!). I like the Hello Sun word art and that picture of Simon in the blue chair, taken from above. Thanks for the inspiration!
Great pages this week, love the simple things you added. The slanted pages are sooooo cool, will have to try that!! Sweet picture of them at gymnastics and that your parents were there to help in the yard.
Simon, cool shades dude!
you have such great ideas ali!
So very cool! Love the “hybrid” journaling cards — great idea!
Looking good Simon!! Love this week’s PL Ali!
Ali,
do you have ‘family’ word brushes with your handwriting? I checked Designer Digitals and didn’t see anything.
I saw a ‘sisters’ set but I was looking for family words.
If not —– there’s an idea for you.
thanks
Julie
Great spread! Considering purchasing the Epson Picture Mate Show. Looks like you have been using it a ton! I read your initial review and am now curious how you like it after playing with it a bit. Any input is greatly appreciated before I plunk down the $250
thanks.
Definitely like it – using it very regularly and would definitely recommend it. I have it connected to my main computer and am using it that way – great prints. Super happy with it.
Love the torn paper on the 3×4 cards. I love the look of torn paper and haven’t even thought about using it for my PL. Thanks!!
PS- any posts about your office coming soon??
Hi Ali
I am just finishing up one album from january to june and I was wondering what the last pages of your albums look like. I know that in the past you have done more than one album for project life…I am having difficulty deciding what to do as I have no more pictures to finish of the last month and I have a blank page (back side of a page protector) as the last page.
Thanks
Bronwyn
Right now it is blank – I’m thinking about doing a full-page photo.
Oh I like those slanted word cards – and keep being tempted by the silhouette cards and titles.
another fantastic week! i love stopping by your blog and just enjoying the different mix of elements you use to put together your weekly project life. thanks for sharing!
Question on the Silhouette cards – what do you put behind them? The next week will have a pic or something? Do you put a solid color sheet in between or….?
