Welcome to Project Life 2012 | Week Twenty-Two.
Sometimes I find that it’s fun to mix this project up a bit. Last week I decided to focus on taking a photo of some sort of food I was eating each day. You could do this same thing with shoes, drinks, self-portraits, songs, etc.
Here’s a look at this past week:
Before printing I added a Days Of The Week Outline Banner to each photo.
Not a lot of writing and no photos of Anna – that’s just how it goes some weeks (and I wanted to focus on food photos – that’s her breakfast on Tuesday).
The “Heart Summer” banner on the top left photo is from the Summer Outline Banners set. The vertical writing on top of the photo of me is from Hello Sun.
Every other week I’ve used the weekly cards in that top left spot from the Clementine core kit. This week I mixed it up by putting a photo there instead – I cut out the part of the Clementine card I’d already stamped the date on and just adhered it on top of the photo.
The first tag in the middle row is from Jenni Bowlin’s Vintage Printed Tags set.
Happy to be caught up again with the album back down on the counter in the kitchen.

Hi Ali, another great week from you, love that you focused on food, lve taken pics this week of different foods also, pics of food that l cant eat anymore and then others of my new diet, thought that would be fun to add, have a great week
I love your self portrait!!
I like this idea. It would be interesting to do the same thing during different seasons to see what stays the same and what changes.
great idea!!
I really like the idea of the focus on food. I loooooooooove your hat on your self-protrait! Thanks for sharing your PL, again very inspiring.
I forgot this: it’s funny because I took a picture of my lunch yesterday to put in my PL.
Ah, yes. Great way to capture the mood and season.
I love this! I haven’t taken a single picture this week. Nothing! I almost feel like I’m a little burned out right now. Hoping I get my project life mojo back soon.
Looking at yours usually inspires me so I’m hoping I get it back soon.
…i was thinking that at some point, i’m not going to want to do a week…and that’s totally okay. Don’t feel guilty. Just pick up when you’re ready. In the scheme of life, it won’t matter later on. ; )
Awesome week of photos there! The photos all show a variety of unique textures the foods all have… It looks so fantastic together! I like the different perspectives you’ve used for each picture as well… They aren’t all taken from the same angle and distance. Just LOVE!
I recognized the cereal you photographed. One of our new favorites, too! My 3 year old and I love those Quaker Oats Squares cereals.
I need to do this one week. A week of food!
Oh my gosh I love this so much. I just bought those banners and hello sun and can’t wait to try them like you did. Thanks for the ideas
Great week! I love your focus on one particular thing…food! The photos are fabulous, and I also love your self-portrait. Thanks for the inspiration!
Love the daily food idea! Themes like this one will really help to break up the monotony in my PL album.
And loooove those banners.. off to DD
that’s so great. i was just thinking this morning of documenting what i wore each day and adding in the take menus that we’ve been accumulating all week.
The photos of your yard are beautiful! It looks so inviting to pull out a chair and relax with a book. Thanks for sharing!
Such a good idea to have photo themes for the week!
Your pages remind me to get closer with my camera to the life around me.
Great idea – this is something I’d like to look back on down the road!
Loving all the food pics you posted…I’m soooo behind for almost 6 months, because I was waiting for the pages to come in. I have the pics and the stories but haven’t had the chance to print them besides that my baby won’t sleep if I’m not with him *sigh* but I’ll catch up eventually. The busiest part for me will be to edit/crop my pics in Photoshop…Thanks for the inspiratiion Ali.
as always love your stuff ali !!! you keep changing it up
Love it! Borrowing it! Thanks for the inspiration…again
Awesome-sauce. Love how the food shots have the same perspective.
I love absolutely everything about this week! Such a good look into your foodie life and your sun hat picture looks vintage!
I love the idea of a food week, yours is great!! Love the self-portrait and Simon playing pirates. Thanks for sharing.
I love the idea of using the date strip on top of a photo. I haven’t been using the date cards because I didn’t want to use up a space that I could fill with a photo, but sometimes I feel a bit lost about which week it is. Sometimes it is the simplest solutions that escape me. I’ll chalk this one up to me over complicating things.
waaahhh i love this!!!
I absolutely LOVE this project life idea, it is such a brilliant way to keep track of all the little things in life that are so lovely! So inspiring!
Hi Ali,
I always admire what great photos you take and I just upgraded my digi SLR to the Canon 5d mark iii (replacing a Canon 10d but not my point and shoot G10). Super excited to get using this camera and I’m thinking about investing in some canon L series lenses. Looking for an opinion or guidance for my first lens purchase. What do you use most and what all do you have in your camera bag?
I find your blog so inspiring
Hi Deb – I’m loving and using the 24-70 L. It’s my favorite.
loving the simplicity.
Great idea…a theme like this is so pretty on its simplicity and still says so much about daily life! I love it!
Great week. Specially because is food week. I would love to make a 52 topics list and use It to make the PL. Ali, do you know if There is a place where we can find those topics ?
