Project Life | Week Twenty-Four

Welcome to Project Life 2012 | Week Twenty-Four.

Catching up. Been there. Done that. Will likely be there again.

To me catching up is all about making it as uncomplicated as possible. Filling in the pockets, getting a few basic stories, and then re-focusing back to the right now.

This week signaled the end of school and the actual beginning of summer in our house.

I still need to go through the piles of papers that each kid brought home with them (likely to find some things in there to add to this album).

Elle’s Studio has a fun line of summer embellishments now available. I used the Summer Lovin Lil Snippets on the photo of Simon in the pool.

I put together a new set of 3×4 boxes – this one includes hearts and will be available this weekend at Designer Digitals. The “hello heart” was cut using the Silhouette.

Additional accents include Elles Studio Summer Lovin Pennants, Arrow Paperclips (super fun), Classic Calico Vol.2 Stitched Tags, and Jenni Bowlin Vintage Printed Tags.

The bottom photo is two 3×4 photos on one 4×6 piece of paper. Learn how to do that here.

Hope to have Week 25 done later today.

Great week Ali, it is about keeping it simple some weeks. Love that one of Simon and Anna hugging, so sweet!! Really touched that you and Chris both celebrated with Simon on his last day of school. That is so cool that he gets this from you two, it will make a big difference in his life!! I know it must be hard but trust me IT MATTERS.
Thanks for sharing your little world with us again.
    HUGS AND PRAYERS,
    Dawn

Welcome back! I’ve missed you this week!! I put my Project Life on hold for a few weeks as I was too busy (and a total grump for the last week). But, I’m back in action for the weekend. Thanks for reminding us that we can “keep it simple” and move onto the now. Great advice!

Love the photo of Anna with her arm around Simon’s neck. I think I would enlarge that and display it. It would come in handy the next time they squabble! You could just point your finger at it and remind them of the love between them. So, so cute.

Love that this project can as elaborate or simple as you want it to be. As long as the stories are told :)

Just wanted to let you know that I FINALLY took the time to cut the freebie sentiments box “a day in the life” using my Silhouette. Turned out perfectly! Thanks so much…& love the new ones you have been creating :)

Ali, I love this spread! The hello (heart) reminds me that I wanted to ask you if you have any plans to do a baby version of the sentiment boxes? I used “hello life 2012″ for the title page of my Project Life, but I have to split the book up, so for the next one I’m thinking “hello baby” would be perfect, as I’m due soon (still not sure what I’ll put in the third book; it looks like I’ll be making three total for the year). If not this hello (heart) is pretty awesome so I’m sure I can make that work, but just thought I’d ask. Thanks!

I was wondering what adhesive you would reccomend. I have found that some of my mini books/scrapbook pages, months or years later come apart.?!?!?!

Ali, I love all the different 3×4 digital boxes you’ve created – they always look especially fantastic when cut with the Silhouette. I wanted to ask you – do you use any special tool to remove the cut images from your mat? They look so delicate! Thank you for the inspiration!
