The words for this song have been on repeat in my mind and heart for the last few months. Seems like a perfect share for a sunny Friday. Enjoy!
Jason Mraz | Living In The Moment
If this life is one act
Why do we lay all these traps
We put them right in our path
When we just wanna be free
I will not waste my days
Making up all kinds of ways
To worry about some things
That will not happen to me
So I just let go of what I know I don’t know
And I know I’ll only do this by
Living in the moment
Living our life
Easy and breezy
With peace in my mind
With peace in my heart
Peace in my soul
Wherever I’m going, I’m already home
Living in the moment
I’m letting myself off the hook for things I’ve done
I let my past go past
And now I’m having more fun
I’m letting go of the thoughts
That do not make me strong
And I believe this way can be the same for everyone
And if I fall asleep
I know you’ll be the one who’ll always remind me
To live in the moment
To live my life
Easy and breezy
With peace in my mind
I got peace in my heart
Got peace in my soul
Wherever I’m going, I’m already home
I can’t walk through life facing backwards
I have tried
I tried more than once to just make sure
And I was denied the future I’d been searching for
But I spun around and searched no more
By living in the moment
Living my life
Easy and breezy
With peace in my mind
I got peace in my heart
Got peace in my soul
Wherever I’m going, I’m already home
I’m living in the moment
I’m living my life
Just taking it easy
With peace in my mind
I got peace in my heart
I got peace in my soul
Oh, wherever I’m going, I’m already home
I’m living in the moment
I’m living my life
Oh, easy and breezy
With peace in my mind
I got peace in my heart
I got peace in my soul
Oh, wherever I’m going, I’m already home
I’m living in the moment

Thank you for this song. I feel it. I got on my exercise bike and enjoyed the ride when my dogs barked as “I passed by”. HeeHee
Just listened to it. I usually don’t listen to music with words in it, too distracting for me, but I liked this one. Thanks as always for sharing.
Ali, I have been thinking about you (and especially your OLW)recently when I listen to ‘Firework’ by Katy Perry and this seemed like the perfect time to tell you – listen to it!
Love that one too
. And thanks for thinking of me!
just love it! thanks for sharing song & lyrics!
Thanks for sharing Ali, love it
Aw Ali…thanks for sharing this today! My OLW2012 is “moments” and I love Jason Mraz! I share that love with a dear friend (back in Hawaii) that is going through cancer treatments and today was a hard day for him. I prayed “peace in his heart, mind and soul” for him and then MOMENTS later I read this post. It just made me feel like the universe knows what he is needing right now! And now I need to donate to his “cry baby jar” since I am boo-hooing all over my keyboard.
Oh I love that
.
jason mraz is the best.

Thanks Ali, it was the perfect message at the perfect time.
Thank you Ali. Really needed to hear this.
I had never heard of Jason Mraz but I started the video and read the lyrics. Great song, great lyrics. Ever since my husband was diagnosed with cancer 7 years ago, we’ve been looking forward not backward and we’re livng the moments too. Next week on the first of September we will be celebrating our 50th birthdays, we will be 100 together this year and we’re having a big party. Life is too short not to celebrate it.
Eveline.
That is so awesome – happy birthday to you both!
Thank you for sharing this song. It’s just been downloaded and will be helping me in my effort to change my attitude this week… Perfect words to remind me what I need to do.
Thanks for pointing this out. Love those lyrics! Something good to jot down and keep for the kids:). Have a great day, Ali. I hope you have peace in your heart. Xo

Ali, this is wonderful. I had not been able to read your blog for a while because I’ve been undergoing extensive testing & just diagnosed with breast cancer (thank God it’s early & very treatable). I will have surgery next week, to be followed by radiation therapy. I just read this today & have already made a layout.I will keep it with me to look at often. THANK YOU SO MUCH !
Thinking of you and wishing you all the best Kay!
