Looking forward to beginning. Got my pages printed out. I am really liking the 4 x 6 size.

I wasn't going to do DD this year until I read about your approach for 2012 and I realised that it was just the ticket. I struggled to find a 4x6 album, but have just picked two up for only £1.50 each from Paper Chase.

I just started working on mine today, working with a small size too. Leaving plenty of blank pages to play and paint/stencil on. Hope to share pictures soon, computer giving me a hard time uploding.
Thanks Ali for this inspiration each year!! SO EXCITED!!

I started my album with Thanksgiving (since we have a tradition of setting up the tree the day after Thanksgiving) and assumed I'd only run it through Christmas Day. Then i got to thinking...do many people run their albums through New Years Eve/Day? I DO love the idea of capturing THREE holidays in one album! I've done 4 pages already (on blog) and can see the potential for this being a very FAT album if I'm crafting daily all the way through new years! Thanksgiving to New Years = 41 days = 20 sheets. I'm going to need bigger binder rings...

People do all kinds of things :). Some start the day after Thanksgiving and go to Epiphany (I think that's on Jan 6). Some people just do a few days over the month. I've found that Dec 1 through 25 is just right for me.
Sara, We celebrate 'Thanksmas' or Christmas with out-of-town family over Thanksgiving wknd, so I like to start early too. And I love to include the wk after Christmas b/c we are all home together and have a lot of fun that wk. So I am including all three holidays, but taking a break in the middle b/c I have to travel for work at the beg of December. A little disjointed, but it captures the moments important to us and stops me from losing steam trying to document 40 days! Have fun!

I am so excited to do this December Daily this year and it looks like I need to get busy and do my cover and foundation pages. Where does the time go?

i adore the process and idea of a December daily. I am sure that after doing it (not always successfully) for so many years the idea of not doing it is painful. But mine is only 12 days and not 25. That's what make it doable for me.
thank you Ali... for always inspiring. :)

I only have my cover done. I'm still waiting on my kit to come. Great news though! I figured out how to use your overlays in Paint! I'm really hoping the process is simple for me. I think I can do the picture and story a day but the challenge will be to take the time per week to pull it together. I'm ready though! Can't wait!

I just did most of my foundation last night and happened onto the Daily Favorites idea today. It was the perfect fit for what I was worried would be a gap in my recording or space with the smaller 4x6 size. Thanks!

Hey Ali cute pages! Are you going to be putting together a Flickr gallery for 2012 like in past years? I love seeing everybodies ideas all in one place. Thanks for sharing. Regards Paula

Thank you so much for all the inspiration! This is my first year doing a DD and I keep waffling about he format. I think I have decided to go with something similar to your 2011 album and I was was wondering what page protectors you use for the actual pages (not be cut down baseball card sized inserts). I was going to just use the pages by themselves but I worry my DS will get sticky fingerprints everywhere! Thanks for any suggestions.

Hi Tiffany - last year they were part of a kit available through Studio Calico. Similar 6x8 page protectors are now available: http://www.twopeasinabucket.com/shop/_6x8_/

So excited to be starting. Printed off my foundation pages this evening. Have already begun snapping those Christmas memories as our elf, Snow Rex, appeared on Monday morning, and my husband and son have already set up the train. No tree yet, but the train is up and running. Should be fun to see how we fit the tree in the middle of the train track. Makin' memories.
