Project Life® 2018 | Title Page + 2017 Review
Bring on 2018 Project Life®!
Am I totally done with 2017? Nope. Is that stopping me from starting 2018? Nope.
I love this project as a part of my overall memory keeping adventures. I continue to enjoy the 12x12 weekly approach so I'm going to stick with that until it doesn't work for me any more. I love that it is a holding place for all kinds of stories and I absolutely love looking back through these albums and seeing the passage of time in the spreads.
Each year with this project I have been getting more and more loose. I try to take my own advice whenever possible to just fill the pockets.
In 2017 I've completed weeks through the middle of September and am planning to just keep working on getting those done as I can.
For my title page this year I'm using some of the wedding photos that Tara Whitney took of us and a selfie I took of all of us when we were on vacation.
For 2018 I'm planning on using products from my Story Kits™, Stories By The Month™, and general releases in my shop.
Supplies used on my title page include:
- Design A Page Protectors (I use this same style throughout the album)
- Stories By The Month™ (currently on a waiting list)
- A 3x4 transparency that's an Add On from the For The Love Story Kit™
- "We Are Family" card from the Family Journal Cards in my shop
- Gold Foil Quote Card (sold in January 2017 - we have a new set of these in black with new quotes available here)
- White number stickers were from the December Daily® 2017 Main Kit
I'm planning to continue using the 12x12 black and white stripe album from Becky/Heidi as in the last few years.
If you'd like to take a look back at my 2017 albums I've got a video of the first half of my album (January through June) here.
Here's a video overview of the second half of my 2017 album (where I'm at with it) and a look at my 2018 title page:
Here's a quick look back at my previous title pages going back to 2011 (for a much more detailed look into my past Project Life® albums up until 2016 check out my Storytelling With Project Life® workshop):

2016 | More details here.
2015 | This was the year I said I was going to switch things up and started with the above intro pages. Within a few weeks I was back to doing it the same as I had in the past and adjusted my title page to include a combination of things that had originally been on the smaller intro pages.

Just what I needed to read to get me started on my project life this year. Just wondering where you store your 12x12 albums. Thank you!

Such a clean and fresh title page :-)! I wondered about whether 2016, 2015, 2014 are done and if you will be going back to complete them?
I'll have to look through them. I think 2014 is done but 2015 and 2016 might have some holes.

It's like a trip through time looking at these PL title pages. And look at you on your wedding day - so, so pretty! I love this!

Hi Ali! Were you and Katie splitting a PL Core kit this year like you've done in the past? If so, which one? Love your title page! Looking forward to seeing more of your 2018 PL album. Last years pages were definitely some of my favorites posts.
Hi! I'm not planning to use one this year. I just didn't use it enough last year and have more than enough products now to just use what I have here.

Ali,
Where did the giant, see-through letters (days of the week letters) come from? I need them. LOL
Thanks,
Tina J.
Hi! Those were from a past kit - I think it was one of the Week In The Life™ kits that is now sold out.

Hi @AliEdwards
I'm trying to find the tutorial for putting 2 3x4 images on a 4x6 but it looks like the video is missing from the original post. https://www.aliedwards.com/2012/01/video-tutorial-printing-two-3x4-images-on-a-4x6
Hi! Thanks for letting me know! I updated that!

Awesome post Ali! Thanks for the motivation / permission (?) to use supplies I already have along with the Story Kit and Stories by the Month (Waitlist Gods, shine on me!) rather than purchase another Core Kit I honestly never use up. Thank you!!! hil
Yes! Do it!

Beautiful pages Ali! Since I'm new to Project Life this year your video was so helpful! This is something I've been wanting to do for so long and 2018 is the perfect time to start :) Thanks so much!

I love how you insert your 6x8 pages into your main yearly album for both DITL and WITL. It's nice to break it up a little from the same Design A card every few weeks. Can't wait to see the end of 2017 and 2018.

Hi Ali, I have a couple of questions; This is my 7th yr of PL, I subscribe to your story stamp and story kits and I want to use them "better" this year. In the past I have gotten behind and then I end up using the kits randomly, do you use your monthly theme kit specifically for the month it comes out and plan your PL around the theme of the kit? Also do you work a bit behind and start January once it is over?

Where is the WE ARE card from? I have the family card kit but don't see this. Is it digital?
