December Daily™ 2010 | Day Twenty-Three

Welcome to Day Twenty-Three and Merry Christmas Eve!

Took a great little series of photos of Anna yesterday. I re-sized each one to 3×2 and put them together on one 6×8 canvas.

I typed (with the typewriter) the sentiment, punched it with the circle punch shown below, and adhered it to a metal-rimmed circle tag.

This little circle punch from EK Success is the perfect size (makes a 1 inch circle) for creating circles to go inside metal-rimmed circle tags.

Had to get in one more day of Instax photos. I want to remember to bring it downstairs on Christmas morning.

Similar to Day Nine, I adhered all the photos down and this time added a bit of stitching along the bottom row.

SUPPLIES : Ali Edwards 2010 6×8 December Daily overlays; Metal Rimmed Circle Tags; Instax Mini Camera; Paper Shapers 1 inch circle punch from EK Success; Teresa Collins Red Number Transparency; K&Company Handmade Collection Fabric Art Lace Frames

I hope you have a wonderful celebration today and tomorrow. Peace and blessings to you and yours!

Great picture sequence of Anna! Love what you’ve done with the Instax pics too! I figured out what I’m going to do with some of my Instax that I’ve taken–i’m going to place some in layouts much like you’ve done- but the others I plan to tuck into my Starbucks cozy at the front of my DD album. (go to my DD post for day 1 to see what I’m referring to). Off to hit the slopes with the family! Merry CHRISTmas Eve everyone!

That sweet Anna girl is just precious. I can’t believe she sat still for you and got that many photos. Love the little dress? she’s got on, looking so big and happy. I meant to put that camera on my wish list and forgot, maybe Santa will just read my mind and drop one in my stocking for me. Love the simple pictures. Have a blessed, joyful, Merry Christmas Ali with your family and loved ones. Thank you so much for helping us capture the magic of this whole month.

    Lovely pictures of little Anna!

Merry Christmas to you Ali and your family, from us in Sweden! The kids have opened all their gifts now and are playing happily with them. In an hour they are going to bed, probably tired from all the excitement the day has brought, and the peace of Christmas evening will settle.

A Merry Christmas and blessings to you Ali. It’s been quite a ride this year, and I now feel I am somewhat out of the hybrid shallow end of the pool. Now I know I have choices.

Merry Christmas Ali! Thanks for all of the great ideas this year. I did a more digital album (a few stickers and chipboard here and there), but I have so enjoyed the 6x 8 templates and overlays.
I have a questions when you return from your Christmas,… I have yet to punch my pages ( I am going to use a twine and ribbon) and wasn’t sure if I should punch each hole individually or set a 3 whole punch for the spines. Any ideas for my last step?
    Thanks again

Merry Christmas to you Ali, and everyone!

This has been the best December I can remember, writing the DD stories with my mother. Now we are working on the photos for both of our albums. (Thank you for creating the 6×8 templates!

Mom has enjoyed the writing – our deal is that she writes and takes/chooses photos then I help put the pages together and get them printed.

    Hi Ali,
Hope you’ve had a wonderful Christmas with your family and got to relax! You’ve worked so hard on this!!
I’m up to Day 23 (just posted my link) and will hopefully get Days 24 and 25 done today – need more photo paper! Originally I planned to do all 31 days but am feeling a bit burnt out from the process so will add a Day 31 at the end but won’t worry about Days 26 – 30. I’ve LOVED this project though and have been taking notes on what to do/change for next year.
Thank you for all your tips, techniques and inspiration!
Looking forward to OLW!! A question though … have you ever picked a word that your entire family can focus on throughout the year? And if so, how do you accomodate the different ages so each person contributes? We’ve been having some family “issues” this past year and I thought picking a family OLW would be a good idea to work on our togetherness in 2011.
    Thanks again,
