Today I’m thankful for Facetime and technology that allows Aunties and cousins on two different coasts to chat “face to face.”
Last night Simon and Anna had a nice long chat with Auntie Jessica and cousin Gabrielle (with a quick appearance from Jeffrey). They talked about preschool, Halloween costumes, Simon showed them his pirate legos and told a couple knock knock jokes that had Gabrielle totally cracking up. We can’t wait to have them here for Halloween.

How sweet this is Ali. I’m so thankful for all the ways I can stay connected to my oldest at college and the few families who are far away. Thank you for the download.
I’m starting to think about December Daily and maybe even doing one for October this time too.
Happy Monday with HUGS.
Dawn…..because I love Halloween so much and the fall….I am doing an October album this year..inspired by the December Daily!
Janet,
I’m glad your doing one too. Mine is going to be simple so I don’t get tired of it by the end of the month. Some days will have pictures and some will just be “STUFF” or words. Have fun with it.
How happy Simon and Anna look. My grandchildren love it when we skype their Aunt and Uncle and he makes funny faces for them! I too am thankful for being able to stay connected. And, thank you for your Thankful Thoughts series.
Thanks, Ali. I agree about Facetime. My husband is gone right now, but he can Facetime with the kids from his nearby library and it helps so much.
I’m praying for you and your family. Take care.
My Mom’s in Holland until Friday. We did the same thing the other day! So grateful for technology!
I love your thankful thoughts. I wanted to look back at Thankful Thought 001, but the link isn’t working and said “page not found”. I thought you’d like to know.
Hugs and prayers for you and your family.
Thanks for letting me know Suzie – I updated that link: http://aliedwards.com/2011/03/thankful-thought-no-1.html

Oh we will do that Liz – maybe tonight!
Thanks,Ali ~ perfect timing for me, as my son has just started school.
Love it.
And thanks so much for the overlay.
Thanks so much for the overlay!!!
Ali, these overlays are fabulous! Thanks so much.
We love Skype too we live 1000′s of kms from my parents and o/s relatives in Canada, US & UK so it just make our kids get that contact regularly. They feel they know their extended family well. And when we do get together there is never any shyness its straight into having fun and cuddles.
Thanks for thankful thought no.6 too!
Thanks Ali! *Love* your thankful thoughts downloads! Love them! I think you are doing a fabulous job in the midst of challenges there. Praying for you guys…. {{{{{hugs}}}}}
Thanks Ali. I love your thankful thoughts.
What a fun idea! I had not seen the earlier posts, so I was happy to see that the overlays were free for download. Thanks!
Hello Ali,
I really enjoy all of your posts. Thank you for them all. I have a question that does not apply to this post but can you tell me what album you will be using this year for your Christmas countdown? I was wondering.
Thank you so much
Charlotte
Hi Charlotte – I’m using an album that will be available through Studio Calico (a December Daily kit). It’s a 6×8 chipboard album that is 3 inches thick (it’s actually a little bigger than that as it holds 6×8 pages).
love that sweet photo….and thanks for the overlay : )
Adorable photo. Wow, did Anna grow up overnight, or what? What a big girl now.
Off to do more browsing and catching up.
Hope all is well on your end.
