Project Life 2012 | Week Thirty-Three

Welcome to Project Life 2012 | Week Thirty-Three.

I love this project.

On a scale of 1 to 10, my love for it is a 10. Seriously.

Did you guys see all the new releases? Seafoam from Elise Blaha Cripe (so totally happy for you Elise), Olive from Heather Bailey, childhood sets from Lori Whitlock, and baby sets designed by Lili Niclass. Love. Can't wait to incorporate bits from all of them into my albums.

Here's a look at Week 33:

Totally had a flash back to when I used to do a lot of letter sticker combinations - need to do that more again (great way to use up letter stickers/chipboard letters).

Love that "Adventure" sticker from My Mind's Eye.

Love trimming a 4x6 photo in half that has a lot of "white space." That space is great for journaling directly on the photo either with your computer or handwritten using a Slick Writer or American Crafts Precision Pen.

That fun "You Are So" card is from My Mind's Eye.

Stitched those letter stickers using my sewing machine.

The second insert that holds my race number is part of the new PL Small Variety Pack (it's a 10x8). I stapled (using the Tiny Attacher) the number on the outside of the page protector to keep it in place.

I stamped directly onto the bottom right photo using my new Remember This Banner stamps and Staz On ink.

    "I love this project."

So do I ... Dedicated the day to catch up and work on other photo projects as well. I am doing the digital version over here in Germany, and I so love to document the everyday, even the rough times. Seeing the flow of life in these albums - December Daily, WITL, Project life - make me feel so grateful concerning life and that I discovered Scrapbooking more than 10 years ago, instead of, let's say, scuba diving, lol.

I'm starting PL next week and still haven't got all my supplies. I cannot decide between Seafoam and Olive, they are both so gorgeous. The reason why I'm starting it at such an odd part of the year is because I turn 30 on September 8th and am going to document the year through PL :)

Awesome again Ali. I just received a Clementine kit today. So in love w/ PL that I'm going to do one backdated year along with my current Project each year. The Clementine kit is even more beautiful in 'person' than on the web.

      Alida / Rene,
Would love to get in touch with either of you! I discovered Project Life about 2 weeks ago and I am so keen to get a kit and get started with this. Obviously I am in South Africa as well. Would either of you be willing to answer some of my questions?
      Thanks!
      Debbie

Project Life gives me a sort satisfied feeling ... I am not thinking about doing an album down the road to capture a vacation or birthday some day, I am doing it RIGHT then right there. I am done! I am not going back, I'm writing and describing in "real time", so to speak.

To me, the page pockets from Becky and some of the lined notes are all you need. Depending on the format, it is nice to have some "filler" inserts. Like Ali, I use a lot of different embellishments and create my own inserts. However, I don't feel the need to check out every new scrapbook paper line and order more and more "stuff". The PL process is rewarding, not just the end product.

Nice. You are inspiring me to do this. I scrap in a Project Life style, but I don't stick to any weekly/monthly schedule. But I may try it next year. I realize I prefer keeping current, otherwise I forget where pics were taken or what I was really doing. Love a challenge and a new way of thinking!

Just a question - why did you staple the number to the outside? I have run two races this year and I love scrapping the numbers in 5x7 page protectors! :) So fun and simple. Love PL at a 10!!

Mine didn't fit in the 5x7 (so I stapled it in the middle of the larger one).

I haven't done Project Life, but I love seeing your layouts. They remind me that it's okay to not be matchy-matchy all the time. I'm still working on my travel journal from this past spring and decided not to worry about it being "perfect". Since then, I've been able to be more creative with it and other projects. Thanks for sharing!

      Perfection is totally over-rated.

Thanks Susan - this is my full-time job (creating/teaching/blog) so it's definitely a priority most of the time. Right now I'm really working on living a full life - making time for the things I care most about :).

Ali - What adhesive are you using now? I have gone through some of my scrapbooks and I am upset that they are falling apart.
    Thanks!
