Happy Monday.
Man, I just love him so darn much.
Getting excited because he and I are heading up to Tacoma later this week for a visit with my parents and my sister & her boyfriend and john & liz. Looking forward to experiencing more stuff with him. Lately he has seemed so ripe for everything. He is working hard on pronounciation. He just seems so much more aware of things. Excited for our little adventure.
Working away today here. Wanted to share some very cool links I encountered:
1. Rhonna has a new digital kit on Two Peas that is fantastic. I can tell this is one of those things I am going to overuse. And even the name makes me totally happy: Old Stamps.
2. Another digital brush kit I came across recently is from Katie at Designer Digitals: the one I love is called Date Stamps. I saw it used on a layout by Jessica Sprague in Memory Makers and had to hunt it down. You can see a bit of one of the brushes on my banner.
Anything with old type, numbers, days on the week, etc., make me so happy. I love to add these brushes right onto my photos before I print them out, or use them on journaling blocks, or just print them right onto my cardstock or patterned paper. I love this chance to combine digital and paper elements.
And Mike, my sister-in-laws father, sent me this great link about the Bad Dog Inn (the great little house that Simon is standing in on my Easter post). Their yard is amazing. They are amazing. So glad to have the Freeman's in my life.
And keep sending me those great Life Artist photos. Love seeing you guys in action!
Thanks for the link to the digi kit you used for your banner. Since you put it up I thought it was super cool! :) Once again a great shot of you and Simon. I can't believe how big he is getting. He sure is a cutie.

I'm loving mixing the digi with paper these days, too. Love playing with brushes. I'll definitely be getting Rhonna's new set.

I am new to your Blog...I just LOVE it. I feel like I have finally found someone just like me. Creative, fun and loves her family. I love the pic of you and Simon. It's so precious. I love all your links, they are so helpful to me. And you have really helped my imagination to get over it's creative block. I can't wait to read more tomorrow.

I am relatively new to the "blogging" world---but a longtime scrapper and stamper....imagine my "oh I am so impressed with myself" when I actually ordered something BEFORE I saw one of my "heros" (aka - one of the industry divas "I want to be like when I grow up") mention it on her blog!! (The DATE STAMPS digital set)....I bought it earlier today - cannot wait to FIGURE OUT HOW TO REALLY USE IT! (so not sure of the digital stuff...but love the looks that this medium creates) THANK YOU for sharing so much with us all...your art, your life, your family (and your son is indeed precious!) LOVE THE BAD DOG INN SHOT! Cannot wait to tell my scrappin friends I "beat Ali to it" on a little somethin' somethin'! hee hee

PS...oops! almost forgot!! Lovin' the May issue of Creating Keepsakes that just arrived today...any place we can see more of the "innards" of the mini envelope book on Pg 39? Also - is the SCHOOL BUS (pg 41, "He Rides the Bus" your own artwork? Love that page.
I can't stop gushing! just love your work!

I don't think it's possible for me to smile wider. Every time I come here, I love what I find: the joy you have for life, the way you share that joy with Simon...how HAPPY he is. And of course all the lovely creative inspiration. Have a wonderful trip!

His eyes are so ALIVE - there is so much going on behind there, you can just tell.
I found that Zeb would 'rev up' mentally right around the end of the school year. He would make more progress in the last 6 weeks than he would in the 6 months prior. Always made me frustrated - just when he's getting his groove on, summer comes. Ah well, he needs the down time too.
For Zeb (& the rest of us) to enjoy ourselves, I have to spend many hours talking about our itinerary before any travel, even a day trip. But it does make the actual trip go much more smoothly. He relaxes, because he's not afraid something will come out of nowhere and throw him off. And when he relaxes, I relax.
Have a ball!

Thought of you last night when the news showed a segment of the ARTISM show in Eugene - art created by people and kids with autism. Have you seen it?

Too cool- I grew up in Tacoma, near Puyallup, and my parents still live there also! So nice to see another Northwest girl. Hoping to move back someday, at least as far north as Portland...missin' my fam...and all of the green. :)
Have a safe trip!

I love the digital kits that you shared. Can you download these kits if you do not have a digital editing programs like Adobe Photoshop? Can I download them to a simple word processing program like Microsoft Word? Also, one more question....Do you know of a good how-to book if you are just starting out with digital design? I love all of the books you also shared.....love your blog
