Let's just say...

embrace imperfection.

Just sent out the new newsletter and there is a big spelling mistake with the word: because. And some of my html was coded wrong so there are a bunch of words bolded that were not supposed to be bold.

C'est la vie.

Embrace it, my friends, you get the idea.

I updated the archive version so feel free to read it there as well.

"Embrace imperfection" - I love that! I feel that a lot - but later it all seems perfect!
    Thanks!

You are so right...the world can be a much better place if we all do just that: "embrace imperfection."

Honestly - never would have noticed had you not said something. Guess I'm not a detailed reader ... ;)

now if everyone gave a dime rather than pointing out a spelling error - you'd really rake in those donations, eh? ;)

I smiled when I read your 'beacuse'. It's a word to love and I will use it what I will create. It's embracing inperfection in one word. It says it all.
Together with the following phrases BEACUSE is my creative manifesto:
    1. Beacuse
    2. just get started
    3. go with the flow
    4. love to dabble
    5. step by step
    6. have fun
    7. trust yourself
    8. enjoy the little things
    Thanks Ali.

Ali, thanks so much for all you do to raise awareness about autism. My nephew is autistic so I know how challenging and life changing it can be.
I also appreciate that you do so much to inspire creativity in people-- one of my passions. My sister Karen and I co-authored the book Visual Chronicles: The No-Fear Guide to Creating Art Journals, Creative Manifestos & Altered Books. We hope all your readers will be inspired by your current newsletter and if they need an extra nudge, that they'll check out our book...as we say in Visual Chronicles, we are all ART.

LOL I noticed the error when I printed mine off but just shrugged and thought, "Good to know I'm not the only one who makes typos" and promptly forgot about it. Have a great day!

    Hey Ali,
Just wondering if it is possible to donate if you live outside the US. I tried but everything seemed to default to US states etc. and I couldn't enter any Canadian info.
Would love to donate. Let me know.
    Thanks,
    Alexandra

Actually, I thought you meant to write it as "beacuse"...for the fun of it all!
I was actually pronouncing it in front of the computer..."Beeee *cuse*" thought it was yet another clever way of saying we don't need a reason for fun & creativity!

Now this one is tough!! Can't see me making anything from this just writing words.
As for the BECAUSE spelt wrong, the human brian only needs to se the first & last letter of a word in the right order for the brain to know the word, provided all the other letters are correct but not neccesarily in the correct place. So most of us will see it is wrong but have already read it right & gone past it to the next word. There you are, a useless bit of information for you!!!
    Now for my manifesto!!!!!

I soo took this email to hert and went to work to find out just what it is I am after in my creative life....and I think I found it. I have made a mini book and still working on it as we speak! Here is what I came up with....
I tell you what girls, it felt really goooood to get all this on paper and in a mini book and remember just why I began creating in the first place. We all become soo wrapped in in the celeb side and the being published and the recognition of your work, blah blah blah...this just brings me back to my roots!
Thanks for letting me share this!
I decided to name my manifesto something different tho.....
    TeSTaMenT
    *resolution*announcement*acclamation*deposition*manifesto
I have found my calling in LIFE.......Creating in hopes of INSPIRING!
I want to help others realize their tru POTENTIAL for creative success.
Creativity for me is a NATURAL PROCESS...going with what works for me DOES work for me!
Ebrace yourself and your creative blessings.
enjoy the process...revel in the results.
Share enthusiasm for your passion and you will SHINE!!
Here is my link to some of my book....
