Tuesday Giveaway | Picture The Holidays Online Workshop

Three people will receive a spot in Tracey Clark's Picture The Holidays at Big Picture Classes.

One of the things I'm personally looking forward to in December is getting a daily email from my friend Tracey Clark. Some days I might incorporate the prompt into what story I choose to tell in my December Daily and other days it might simply be something I store away in my inspiration bank for another time.

Picture the Holidays

Picture the Holidays is a photo centric daily guide to creatively and mindfully celebrating the season. This workshop will be a wonderful companion class for those creating a December Daily album!

With as much light and magic this time of year can bring, it's easy to be equally hurried and harried. This 30-day (actually 31!) e-class is the perfect remedy for the holiday hustle. Seasonal photo prompts delivered to your inbox each morning will not only inspire your inner photographer but will encourage you to take a few moments to yourself each day to get creatively centered, one photo at a time.

This season, you are invited to call upon the divine intervention of your own camera and Picture the Holidays with us!

I am just becoming unafraid of hubby's camera so I am looking forward to catching things out of auto mode. Like the freshly fallen snow on the evergreen needles I got over the weekend and the joy on my son's face while he was being pulled on the sled in the skiff of snow...

I'm most looking forward to capturing the surprise and joy on my Mom's face as she realizes my children are in a group caroling at her door. In twenty years married to a wonderful man who serves in the military this will be our first Christmas "at home."

We entered a new chapter in our lives when our oldest son moved out earlier this year. For the first time, there will be three people in our home for most of my Daily December documentation. I'm a bit nostalgic, but am looking forward to telling the story of our son's independence and celebrating the strong relationship that remains with his brother despite the physical distance between them.

Every December we have lots of things that happen thorugh our church that I like to take pictures of. The Ladies High Tea, the Children's Program, Christmas Eve Service, and two Life Group parties. Then we have decorating, going out to see the lights, caroling, several open houses, and the cookie exchange. I've lots to take pictures of.

I am most looking forward to capturing the ordinary things - rosy cheeks after walking home from school in the cold; licking the icing spoon after decorating sugar cookies; decorations around the house; I want to remember the daily joy my kids experience throughout the season.

This will be the second Christmas since my ex and I split up. Last year the boys were still in denial and it was a rather somber holiday, even though we did everything we could to make it fun. This year I am really looking forward to creating some new traditions with my just about 12 and just about 16 year old. We will still take photos of the cookies we bake and decorate, trimming the tree and the "coming around the corner into the living room Christmas morning" photos plus many more.
