Ever since I was teeney tiny me and my Grammy made tarts for the holiday dinners [Thanksgiving and Christmas]. All my aunts and uncles grew up with the mince meat but we started making the apple ones just for me. Every year they're still made and they're my favorite food for the holidays.

My favourite thing to drink during the holidays counts as something to eat too: homemamde hot chocolate so rich and thick that the spoon stays put in the middle of the cup.

on christmas morning while the boys open their santa gifts my favourite thing is vintage pink champagne and hot buttery croissants. its our very very very special christmas treat. It helps us not miss our family, 12,000 kms away as much.

Maple brandy bread pudding. I use pioneer Womans maple cream sauce over day old challah bread to make this. Perfect on. Cold winter night.

My favorite holiday treat is my when we go to visit my husband's family in Missouri and his family makes Chocolate Crinkle Cookies. I can eat a bucket, and I look forward to sneaking as many as I can get away with!
