Simon Says:

Simon_6

After I said the prayer tonight I asked him if he wanted to say anything else. His response:

"Thank you God for golden butterfly.

Thank you for baby condors. (Both of those are from Diego.)

Thank you for cheese.

Thank you for water.

Thank you for applesauce.

Thank you for Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.

Thank you for Santa."

Santa is still really big around here. Santa is the only person he will talk to on the phone. Today he talked to Santa Leslie & Rachel at the CK offices and left a message for Santa at Grandpa Gary and Grandma Susan's house saying, "where are you Santa."

Awesome.

And I just heard a little voice coming from his bedroom singing "do re me fa so la ti do."

Seriously awesome.

And all those words you have been leaving today are totally filling me up. I can't wait to read more on Monday and see what you create.

Oh Ali being a Mom myself I know that Simon's progress must fill your heart with joy! So happy for you! My boys are in Grade 10 and 12 and I am entering into a different stage of "Mothering". My oldest will be leaving home in a few short months and I'm not having an easy time with this concept. So for this and many other reasons I have chosen my word for the year as "CHERISH"..... cherish the times we have, cherish the memories, cherish the relationships

Since I won't be around on Monday to post my word I'll share it with you now. My word is CONTENT. I actually have been thinking about this since reading my issue of the AEzine and when I just read your post about Simon it came to me. I want to be CONTENT with who I am and what I have. Thank you so much for sharing Simon's progress. I love to hear how well he is doing.

Yea for Simon! You and Chris are wonderful, patient parents! My word is "ORGANIZE"! If I don't I will slip under the ooze of too much stuff and drown or just disappear! I immediately ordered the laser cut word from www.thecardladies.com. Thanks, Ali for getting me on track!

How precious! Kids are great. They are such equalizers.
My word is the same as Lynne's: Freedom. Freedom from boundries. Freedom to think out loud. Freedom from censorship. Freedom to grow.

my son, griffin, is obsessed with santa too. he's still making "christmas trees" out of legos hoping to convince santa to come back sooner than next christmas.
my word this year is *enjoy*. I have the hardest time enjoying the process and not stressing about what is constantly needing to be done.

Since I will be out of town on Monday, I wanted to tell you that the word I chose is *Focus*. While filling out a survey for Stacy J's BPS class it came to me that I need focus to accomplish everything I have set out to do this year. I even put the word on an altered clipboard I did for the class to remind me! Thanks so much for you, your family and your inspirational ideas!

Its amazing the things that they come up with. Its even more amazing when you have worked with them and waited for them patiently to tell you what's going on in their heads. I am so happy to hear that Ali - what an amazing little boy you have there!

    What a picture!
I had a great Mommy day yesterday, too.
My 30 month old daughter who didn't say a
word six months ago, was released from Language Therapy because she used a NINE
word sentence to tell her Therapist that she
didn't need any help! The floodgates have
SO opened in the last month that we're floored
    by the progress...
I'm inspired by the progress of Simon and Rosey, today!

while reading your newsletter, my word just came to me -- possibility. In 2007 in will be open to possibility. I will no longer cower in the fear of "what if". I am choosing to let the power and amazement of possibility into my life. I can't wait to see what happens...
Thanks for your continued inspiration as an artist and a woman.
