This is why...
Simon loves going to visit Grandpa and Grandma. Just going through photos my Mom dropped off from the last time Simon visited them on the coast. Seriously, how cool.

He must love being out in a little boat. There is something so calming and special about that. And for him to equate that feeling with spending time with his grandparents - that be with him lifelong. Looking forward to meeting you in VA in a few weeks and taking your "Embrace Home" class. I am so inspired by all of your work. Best, Molly

Oh man Ali, you pushed my heart button too. Nathaniel just had his teeth repaired - he had to have general anesthesia in the hospital for the dentist to do the work. It took three years to set it up - approvals, hospitals, and a pediatric dentist with privileges. He did great, but it was horrible.
I'm so glad people are telling their stories - on tv, in scrapbooking magazines...I think one of the hardest things for me now, Nathaniel is almost six, is how other people react when he does something unusual. I understand bias in a whole new way. And the thing is, he's a marvelous kid.
Thanks for your openess about Simon. Blessing to you all!

Ali,
I love your scrapbooking! Not until recently did I know that your son was diagnosed with autism. My newphew was diagnosed 3 years ago. He takes a vitamin B shot everyday, and I tell you what, that shot has made a difference. My nephew did not used to talk very much and now he is really talking. Every day he amazes my brother and our family. I really appreciate that you have made this issue a number #1 priority that people will come to know about. As a special education teacher I deal with it a lot and hope that I can reach out to others that don't know a lot about it.
Thanks for being so inspiring!
