Guess who?
Guess who is dressing himself?
Really and truly: underwear + pants + shirt (still working on the socks).
(Here's a hint...it is not Chris...he is already pretty skilled at doing it on his own...including ironing his own shirts. Today I took Simon to school and the first thing he played with was an iron & ironing board. Good training around the Edwards' house.)
Tonight he put on his PJ's without assistance (alright, there was one little hint from Dad on the arm not going through the head-hole).
It rocked.
Yay! Yay! Yay!!! That is SO awesome. Way to go, Simon (and way to go Mom for always helping him learn)!
Camden has mastered the underwear and pants; we're still working on the shirt. ;)

Thanks, Ali, for sharing all of this little man's accomplishments with all of us. Those who are blessed to have healthy children & gtandkids take these small steps for granted! WAY TO GO BIG GUY!!!!!!

Everyday persistence sometimes doesn't seem to have an effect and then "suddenly" one day... it does. It's the same for putting on shirts, socks, or learning to read. Everyday slogging finally is rewarded. Congratulations to you all!

It's so cool when they learn something new. Last night I was doing a layout on how my dd now knows how to tell her first joke. :0)
As always, thank you for letting share your joy.

Ali, that is awesome!! George is still working on choosing his own clothes (and only one of each item, lol!), how exciting for Simon to be at that next step. He must feel so proud!
Way to go, Simon!!

We are working on getting dressed at our house too :) sadly though I think my little man could find his way to the dry-cleaners faster than he could find the ironing board! Yeah for Simon :)

Woo-hoo! Way to go!! I remember when my little guy learned how to dress himself.. I took tons of pics of the interesting ways he would dress himself (one of my favorites was a t-shirt, underwear and rainboots. That's all he chose to wear!). Or the backwards pants.. Too cute and such great memories!!

(exhale . . .) This seemingly simple task is such an accomplishment for little ones-- and their mommies. My son started dressing himslef completely about 4 months ago and I can't even explain how this has changed our lives in the morning. Congrats to Simon (and you as well, Ali).
