Ohh... that is so cute. I love that he wants these kinds of REAL toys! Happy December, Ali!

How cool... I love that Simon numbered all the pages and wrote 'Love Simon' - too cute.
P.S. I especially hope he gets the tent!! We love reading-time in ours.

I just love it when children begin to write. I enjoy looking at their little letters and watching them be so careful and trying to do everythink just right. Many wonderful memories happening to you at this time. Cindy

I love number 3. "Potato Head". How cute is that. You go Simon. You are doing such a great job with your letter, and I know Santa loves you.

Ahhh...so cute! My son is going to be writing one in a few days (he can't actually write it himself, but he sure knows what he wants already, heh-heh). Your photos add to my joy/excitement about it all (thanks)!

Please, please, please tell me you're going to save these and frame them later, when he's older? So adorable.

So very lovely! I am so into the idea of documenting Christmas every day... from your blog as well as CZ's and Jessica's. I wrote out my 10 things I am grateful for now it is Dec 10 and realize I could have written 50! So cathartic! Thank you for your creation and inspiration.

I'm back with a request for a little help...
I'm new at the 'typepad thing' and my last name keeps coming up when I login to typepad and comment - not so great. I just want it to link to my blog.
I have tried everything (I think) - editing my profile a thousand times, restarting, emptying my cache. Nothing is working. :(
Any generous typepad users out there?? Fill this technologically challenged girl in - please!!
Ali, hope you don't mind the question here on your blog - I'm desperate and you have a big audience!!
Peace to all.

just beautiful AS ALWAYS! I can't get over how grown up Simon looks. What a great letter to Santa and such a treasure to have photos of it! Great job Ali!

Looks like Simon's going old school with a Jack in the Box and a Mr. Potato Head on his list this year. And who wouldn't love a Thomas tent, too! Every time I see Thomas I think of my now 13yr old playing with his trains for hours. That little blue train will always hold a special place in my heart! Hope Santa brings you everything on your list, sweet Simon...I'm confident he will.

Simon rocks with this letter to Santa. And you Ali keep inspiring me. Hope Santa fills his stocking with all he desires.

I have a feeling, Ali, that a lot of folks are going to be doing this daily journal along with you. Well, I know I am at least! Do you think there might be enough to start a flickr group (is there a way to do a subset of the group you already have going?) for this project?
Thanks and Happy December!

wow, Simon is doing sooooo well! Its so great to see his strides!
We are trying to just get Ryan interested in any toy... that is so great that he is able to write it too! My six year old "typical" daughters list looks similiar so he is right on!
I enjoy your holiday journaling too... really makes me remember the reason for the season!
Peace,
Kim

What a sweet list! .. I'm sure Santa will not have any problem fulfilling that request .. not an electronic toy in the bunch! .. Hooray for Simon choosing HANDS ON toys! .. Always the better way to go!
