Family Gratitude Spinner Project through Big Picture Scrapbooking

Ae_wearefamily_cover

I am very excited to announce a new partnership with Big Picture Scrapbooking to bring you a Projects Plus instant download class : Family Gratitude Photo Spinner.

Are you looking for a creative way to celebrate your family photos? So often they end up tucked away inside beautiful albums or in boxes under the bed, cared for but not celebrated often enough. The Family Gratitude Photo Spinner is a project that brings your photos out into the open, encouraging you to live with some of your most favorite photos of the people you love. This project would make a great holiday centerpiece or a lovely decoration within your home for anytime of the year. It would also make an amazing gift for someone special.

NOTE: This project is not necessarily Thanksgiving-specific but would definitely work well as a centerpiece for this time of year. It is more focused on expressing gratitude for family and friends and life. Paper and colors can easily be substituted to fit your individual tastes (and what you have on hand).

The class will be available as an instant download beginning next Thursday, November 13th at 10am Pacific. As soon as you register you have immediate access to the class materials.

Cost for the class is $12 and includes: color handouts with step by step instructions, downloadable PDF templates (for transparencies and titles), full supply list with links to products, an audio message from me, a private gallery for sharing your projects with others in the class, and access to a message board for sharing thoughts and ideas as you work through the project.

In addition, Big Picture Scrapbooking and kit club Cocoa Daisy have teamed up to offer a kit for this class with a bunch of the products you will need for this project if you are wanting to use the same supplies (check the supply list for specific details - not all products are included). The Cocoa Daisy kit does include the main 7gypsies supplies such as the Photo Carousel (also available here), tabbed pages, pocket pages, patterned transparencies, and page protectors (also available here). You can see and purchase the kit of supplies here.

I hope that some of you will be able to join me on this creative adventure. I loved the process of putting this project together: from the patterned papers to the paint to the embossing to working with little elements to going back through many of my favorite photos of my immediate family. I love how the finished project really celebrates my current family of three and has space available for the little one that will be joining us soon.

It's a great reminder of what is really most important in life.

    Ali,
I don't guess there's any chance Cocoa Daisy will be offering more of the December Daily Album kits...I was going to order one this morning and didn't...now I see they're sold out!

I think a large Rolodex would suffice as a substitute for the spinner. I've been thinking of making a "scrapbook" using one for my desk at work so I could showcase many of favorite photos.

Very cute, way to expensive. Maybe it's those who have budgets like that who are happy to "redistribute their wealth," well, not me...I work hard, come home and homeschool our girls, because I'm unsatisfied with public schools, can't afford a private school right now. God help us through the next 4 years with a Socialist!

Kathryn - I think this is something you could potentially translate into an album rather than the spinner, but the spinner was really one of the inspirations for the project. Also, one of my main ideas was to create something that exists "outside" of an album and can live out in the open in your home.
Also, as some of you have commented, this is an expensive project when you add up all the supplies (hence the price for the full kit). The spinner is the most expensive item.
You may want to consider going in with a friend to split up some of the additional items (all the 7gypises products you get from Cocoa Daisy are full packages) and using papers you already have on hand.
Our goal in giving the kit option was really to make it convenient for those who would want to purchase everything specifically as shown in the instructions.

As a BPS junkie, I feel like my prayers have been answered...having you have a class! I love the classes that are available to me thru them, but you as a teacher...WOW! Can hardly wait. I already have the spinner and am looking forward to a great class.

Very Excited! Love BPS and so glad you will be a part of it. I, too, am a BPS junkie since the beginning. Have been hoping for a long time that you would do a class. :)

    Ali,
Congrats! How happy you must be that all your hard work is truly paying off . Your success is well-deserved and if you don't realize how many people love your style you only need to see that most of your products are sold out...again. You're sizzlin' !! Mac

    Hi Ali,
I live in Scotland and I'm hoping that this kit can be sent abroad. Do you know if it can be?
Also I'm currently doing CZ's Design Your Life BPS course and def cannot do 2 at a time (plus I'm way behind on that one due to being away for 3+ weeks at the start!)but would love to be able to do yours.
If I can get kit sent here I know it would arrive later. I'm happy to start later but how long would your class be open for at the end. Could I download some stuff and do it all when I get a chance?
Love what you created and love the one week in the life and the month of Dec mini books. So many great ideas! You are a very inspiring and talented lass!

This one looks exciting and may have to try it. Will be starting Jessica's class this week, almost done my week in the life and preparing some photo cookbooks for xmas presents. Just back from a week in Florida for work, so had no time to play.
Hope you had a great birthday.

Oh I am very excited that you are doing a class at BPS too Ali! My Daily December album is all set up and ready to go (thank you for the wonderful inspiration!). However, I was wondering if the 7 Gypsies ATC spinner would be too small for this project as I already have one of those in my stash collecting dust, LOL! Many thanks. Sue

I love the look of the carousels and hadn't picked one up yet as I like the box storage I use for my ATCs, cards 'n mini sticker sets ... but LOVE the idea of using 'em for a display photo album ~ TFS!

Ali, I know I have seen you tell how you print multiple photos on a larger document in Photoshop but I can't find it. Can you direct me or explain...I want to try to do a baseball card holder page...
    TIA!

I love this project, Ali. I have been looking for something where I could put some of my pages on display without having an album "hanging around" on the coffee table. Now if I can just figure out how to keep the grandchildren from spinning it just for fun. :-)
Thanks for all your creative ideas.
Oh, by the way, since reading your blog and books I have become much more aware of telling the story. I now plan the space for it rather than doing the page and just hoping there is some space left for comments. So much better for years to come...

This would be a wonderful centerpiece! How fun! Now, if I could just find the time to sit down and work a little on these projects, I would be in heaven!! Thanks for the constant inspiration.
