Seven weeks.

Annagreen

• Your smiles are just awesome. This photo above is so very you. Huge, big smiles that sometimes take my breath away.

• Your favorite location right now seems to be the changing table. You just discovered the mobile hanging above it this week and have been captivated by the orange, red, and white circles. Going to the changing table can change you from grumpy and crying to seriously happy in an instant (it seems to be a literal "change" table).

• You sleep best all wrapped up. The pacifier is your friend.

Snuggles

• You are tolerating Simon's "snuggles" (as seen above) and definitely notice when he is around and recognize his voice. He loves you so much. If I meet him at the door when he gets home from school without you in my arms the first thing he says is "where is my sister?"

• You are a mini-napper during the day, but sleep great during the night (can't tell you how much of a blessing this really is - after having a challenging sleeper in the past I almost don't know what to do with a good sleeper).

• You have started having great little "conversations" with me where you are working on different sounds and verbalizations. These connected moments, when you are finding your own voice, are definitely some of my favorite times throughout the day.

We love you Anna and are so glad you are a part of our family.

    Hi Ali
I wondered if you have heard any stories about children with autism being challenging sleepers as a baby and toddler? My 8 year old has just been diagnosed with high functioning autism and he was definitely my most challenging sleeper. At a recent parent conference for autism, I attended, all the parents said their child with autism were difficult sleepers. My 4 month old seems to be a bit like Anna, small mini cat naps in the day and bigger sleeps at night.
    Have fun enjoying your family.

She looks just like you:) I had a terrible sleeper (he is fixing to turn 15) and he is an only child. Does that tell you anything? Enjoy that she is a good night sleeper. It makes ALL the difference.
