Waiting(A little conversation about Simon being ready to go home - good capture Dad. All these people were gathered on Proctor Street in Tacoma for an annual trick or treating event - they close off a couple streets and all the businesses give out candy from 4-6pm - a great time for little trick or treaters. Definitely don't get this many people at our house or at my brother's house.)

Just a few images from our Halloween adventure to Tacoma a couple weekend's back. It was so fun to have all the cousins together for Halloween. I also wanted to say thank you for the birthday wishes last week. Life is good.

Ali, I really love the new layouts. I got already some of your brushes about baby and pregnancy! Totally love them! Still not an expert on Photoshop, but I'll get there.

A question about your layered templates...just getting in to PSE--how hard is it to adapt a 12 x 12 to 8.5 x 11--my preferred format. Thanks.
    Love your pictures.

Hi Katherine - I got it at a local shop here in Eugene. The brand is called Kate. This is the shop and the brand but the poncho isn't listed - you could call them and they may be able to get it for you: http://www.melange4women.com/kate.html

We enjoy something similar. Trick or treating on the square in Clarkesville, Georgia--all the business give out candy, some have sno cones, popcorn, cotton candy, etc. There is a costume contest, those blow up bouncy things--something different every year. Really enjoyable and safe for the kiddos! And EASY for the adults (who dress up too)

    Ali,
I recognize that neighborhood! What an surprise to meet you walking that Saturday morning. I have followed your blog for years. You are such a talented and amazing person. I talked to Liz later that week while walking past her house, she agrees with me you MUST have more than 24 hours in your day! We too where at the halloween events with our 2 year old grandson. It's a great way to safely trick or treat and you get to see so many amazing costumes. I actually had over 50 trick or treaters at my house (I'm 2 blocks down the hill from your brother.) That's more than I've had in years. Thanks for sharing so much of your talent with us.

Ali, Do you have any layout examples {or a flickr site with other's finished LO}? I look at the layout templates and I KNOW that they will look great, but I love to see how they actually look when the are finished. Just wondering.

Amazing to see the Proctor District turn up on your blog. We lived for 24 years about 2 blocks behind the library. My kids trick-or-treated for years in the Dstrict and then branched out for further candy adventures. Are your brother's children going to Washington-Hoyt and then Mason and "Stay-dum??" That's the path my kids took---I asked once who you'd swum for thinking you might have been a Bell-girl. Karen Greenfield

Please tell me where you found the awesome HP costume. We had never watched Harry Potter until this Halloween and now my son would like to be Harry next year :)
PS Simon looks great and Anna looks super-cute.

Hi Karen - I think they are planning the St. Pats/Bellarmine route. Both my brother and his wife (and me) attended Catholic schools :). I actually swam for Decatur because we lived in that neighborhood in Federal Way.

OMG - Simon looks exactly like Potter! That's amazing! You should make a layout with one of these pictures next to a movie picture. That would be awesome!

Hey Ali...so, it kind of looks like you are standing in front of my grandparent's house in Tacoma in the picture of you and another man and woman. My G's live in Tacoma ON Proctor...1202 N. Proctor to be exact. We just moved to Germany a few months ago, so I am missing them, and missing the NW...so even if you AREN'T standing in front of their house, it was nice to hear about a little slice of my life!! Thanks!
