Holding Out For Better Light

IMG_1226

Just finished the last piece of my Week In The Life album.

Planning to take photos and upload sometime on Wednesday or Thursday AM at the latest. Attempted a couple shots tonight but it's just too dark. Holding out for better light in the morning.

I love this project.

Thanks for your patience as I get this complete album post together.

Oh, I'm so excited to see your finished project! I'm really interested to see how you did your journaling. I'm struggling with how to fit mine in (I'm one of those people with pages and pages). :) It has been so fun doing this project "with" you. I already have my opening pages and collages finished for M-F, and I really feel like I'm going to be able to get the rest done soon - at least before the end of the month (I hope)! It's been very motivating to know that you and a whole bunch of other people are working on it at the same time. I hope to make this project a yearly tradition. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Your projects are always so exciting as we watch them come together. I can't wait to see the finished album. I love that you keep the album clean and simple; that you worry more about telling the story, using photos that make us want to take better photos for our own projects.

I can't wait to see your finished album! I'm only half way done with mine. Took so much longer than I thought. Maybe because it's my first time doing this project. I have to keep telling myself not to abandon the project. I will finish it!

How exciting! I'm half way through mine too. I also didn't realize how much time this end of the project would take (I found the actual week of documenting quite easy and it's certainly testing my patience waiting for my photo's). But I'm so thankful I've done this and at this time in my life. Enjoy it everyone.

Ooh, what did you use for the long, narrow journaling sleeve? Did you make one out of a bigger page protector? By sewing...? I can't quite see in the picture, will have to check tomorrow when you've got that better light! :-)
I've been wracking my brains to think of how to include my longer journaling entries with my P365/Project Life pages. Especially where I've, ahem, used up most or all of the slots - photo AND journaling! - with photos! :P Am thinking these might work really well as inserts that wouldn't be a big blocker to seeing the photos. Love to get your thoughts on that!

I'm glad your finished and I have plenty of patience waiting to see yours but am excited also. I'm trying to have patience with mine also, the collage pictures are not fitting the way I'd hope. I'm trying to not get frustrated and quit because otherwise I love love the pictures and the journaling is coming alon, I took a lot of notes and the kids did too so want to include it all. I think your page here looks great even without good lighting. I plan on doing this again and will plan it out better and maybe try it digitally so it will come together easier. Have a great day!

I have loved this project, too. I have one more day (Sunday) to complete and then I want to write a journaling block for the last page about the project and what I learned and all that.

I like what you've done with your journaling on that day. Hmm, I might do the same with some journaling with times against it. Thanks for yet another great idea!

I enjoy watching your process and am truly excited for each and every next step - it's like watching a mini-movie in parts . . . continued to the next day. I love that you kept the photos together in their printed format and just added your embellishments to the sheet. I'm seriously thinking about doing this digitally next time I attempt the project. I actually did a Week in My Life from October 2008 and loved the process and the final album. Great inspiration, Ali, as always.

So looking forward to seeing your final project, Ali! I am practicing patience myself - my week in the life (the week itself, not the project) was so, so abnormal and just plain wrong that I couldn't bring myself to finish documenting it. So I am really, really, really looking forward to next week and my first time of working through this project. Here's to patience and second chances! :)

I noticed in an earlier post you had your pictures printed at SBP. Could you tell us which option you chose ie matte, glossy and premium color or auto?
    Thanks so much!!

I'm still working on my photos...trying not to get frustrated, but I'm pretty much there! Need to take a deep breath and think positively about the end result.

Anything I can do to help? Deep breaths always seem to help me too. It's definitely a process to get everything ready to go :).
