December Daily 2010 | Day Eighteen

Welcome to Day Eighteen!

Chris took the kids out shopping this morning so I could catch up on storytelling from last night.

Last night we ventured out to a little local celebration at an outdoor shopping area. It was cold but full of bright twinkle lights.

Word art on the photo says “I love twinkle lights” and is part of my Handdrawn Holiday set. I drew the white line with a Sharpie Poster-Paint Markers.

Simon wrote a cute little card to Chris.

On the back of the card I adhered a photo of the three of them last night having a bit of ice cream (Simon) and chocolate milk (Anna).

I hand-wrote “I love family time” with the same Sharpie Poster-Paint Markers.

And I love this photo. They were in a little house and just having the best time laughing and giggling. Love.

JOURNALING : 5th Street Market had a little holiday celebration that sounded like fun. We started with dinner at Steelhead Brewery and then walked over to check out the festivities. Your favorite (both of you) was this cute little house. We also stopped for ice cream and chocolate milk before heading home to watch The Santa Claus movie.

Hi Ali, What wonderful stories and ideas you share, I have learned so much from you and have often thought about taking one of your online courses, I still don’t feel I’m up to that just yet, maybe in the new year… time seems to be the main issue.
Thanks for a year filled with your passion and ideas.
All the best to you and your family during the holiday season and 2011.

Looks like you had a nice and fun evening!

I am so happy with the 6×8 format, there’s so many possibilities. Thank you for all the inspiration!

(I’ve just finished printing todays pictures and will now sit down to assemble the pages – I love the framing with words and lines you are using, and also used it myself on todays pages.)

Good to see Chris make his first appearance! Great pics. My hubby was just saying that he’s not in my book yet. And I replied, “hey I’m barely in the book myself!” Going the simple route means I don’t get to feature as much… and my soon-to-be three year old is a great subject!

Spent yesterday shopping with my husband and daughter yesterday, forgot my camera but I journaled about in my DD. And got todays page done using a picture of a vintage Santa ornament I bought yesterday and a vintage postcard(a new tradition I am starting this year.) Thanks for the daily inspiration Ali!

wow what gorgeous pages!! I’m REALLY far behind with my DD and I don’t want to give it up completely but some days i just don’t know how I”ll catch up. I know for next year, I’m DEFINITELY going smaller. I think 6×8 will be perfect. The 8.5 x 11 I’m doing now is just too big.

thanks so much for the inspiration! Wish I had some time to get crafty right now!!
