Studio AE Blog Hop | April
Welcome to the first-ever Technique Tuesday Studio AE Blog Hop!
Today, the Studio AE team is joining with me to show some projects we made with April’s Studio AE stamp set. Check out my project and then check out the links below which will take you to the other blogs. Leave a comment on each one for a chance to win the You Always Know by Ali Edwards stamp set from Technique Tuesday (more info below).
The new stamp set for April is called, “It’s in the Details by Ali Edwards.”
The set consists of 13 clear stamps. The set works great for scrapbook pages as well as cards.
The set ships to Studio AE members between the 10th and the 15th. Non-Studio AE members can also purchase the set for a limited time through the Technique Tuesday Web site. Some retailers are also now offering the Studio AE stamp sets for purchase. Check with your favorite retailer for more details about that.
Here’s the layout I worked up using one of the stamps in this set:
And a couple close-ups:
To create the stamped square I used a few different inks from Close To My Heart and stamped onto a piece of cream cardstock. To extract the square I used the Marvy Extra Giga Square Punch (I used that for the other two squares as well).
I drew a little line in black pen to create a frame. I like doing that.
I drew a couple circles around the "girl" embellishment too.
I did the journaling last on this page. I almost called it good without the main portion of journaling. And then I thought to myself, "why make it in the first place if I'm not going to write out the reason I felt like it was worth making?" So that's exactly how I started my journaling:
JOURNALING | Why is this special? What do I want to say here and why do I want to keep this memory? I love to see where we are right now - Anna and her new Dora shoes that she loves and me in my new heels that I love. Someday, not too far from now, she'll be in heels too...or want to be. She already wants her toes painted. Soon sweet baby, soon. For me it's about me and her and how happy I am that she is in my life.
