How true this is!!
Thanks Ali and congrats on making it to NYC.
I honestly do believe Manhattan to be the coolest city anywhere, ever. CONGRATULATIONS!!! ….. and…… best of luck & (((HUGS))) with all the other. Hopefully by the time you get home you’ll all see it with “fresh eyes”.
Thanks Alli, great quote. It means a lot to me, especially this crazy morning.
We went to high school together (My maiden name was Johnson then, I was a freshman when you were a senior) and I introduced myself to you again a few years ago at the CK Portland show in March. I was wearing cool glasses like you and your signed your book for me! I love your blog and website and I wish you all the best to you and your family. I live in Raleigh, NC now and it nice to read something written by someone from my hometown. Keep posting, the washington transplants love you!
Thanks for sharing this Ali. It’s just what I needed to read on this Monday am.
This exactly what I needed to hear this morning.
This was like a bandaid on my heart this morning. Dealing with some hard issues lately.
Thanks Ali.
Thanks–a beautiful message for today.
love it.
i took a class from her a long long time ago & i still think about it & how she just made me feel like it was okay to be me. just as i was (which was crying, actually…during a class! so embarrassing! but she made me feel like that was not only totally normal but actually really really good) anytime i see a quote from her i get such a bursting in my heart <3
i hope you are having a nice time away… & being just who you are, even if it makes you cry <3
So true, and so needed this morning after a really rough weekend. Thank you for this, and I’m keeping you and your family in my thoughts.
we had a really rough week-end, and the challenges that we are facing this week seem insurmountable. really needed this today. thank you.
love this and am going to share. such a great reminder about so many things in life.
Hi Ali,
True words hath be spoken. Persistence is soil of success.thanks for sharing this just what I needed to hear.blessings and hugs
Sharon Dryjanski Phoenix AZ
Thanks Ali, I REALLY needed this today as I sit, completely and udderley overwhelmed, at my desk.
I love this. You know I believe a woman can do anything. Anything. A man? Well, although their attributes are many, that is to be determined. I’m kidding, a little bit. The hardest part of doing anything for me is starting. Start!
Oh, that is GOOD! Thank you for sharing and have a great time on your trip!
You are a strong women Ali. I’ve seen it. Not sure what’s going on, I hope all is well. I love this quote….
The most authentic thing about us
Is our capacity to create, to overcome,
To endure, to transform, to love,
And to be greater than our suffering. Ben Okri
So true! And your beautiful handwriting makes it seem like poetry.
Love this!
Beautiful message. An inspiring way to start the week.
By the way, I think the author’s last name is Radmacher, with an a not an o.
I agree. “a” not an “o”. (Love the quote.)
This is great!
How true!
Thank you so much for this powerful quote. Exactly the inspiration I desire to start my week – month – year – life!
This is just what I needed today. Thank you!
Exactly what I needed. Kudos!
What a wonderful quote. I am sharing this with a woman with whom I work. She has a son with autism and she collects quotes. She will love this. I am going to hang it up in my classroom for my students to see, but mainly for me:)
Wonderful words for a day when I started over about 4 times and each time was not able to overcome some family situations. But know what? There will be tomorrow to try again.
I’m a fan of Mary Anne’s, expecially the quote:
“Courage doesn’t always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, “I will try again tomorrow.”
I wanted to mention that Mary Anne’s last name is spelled Radmacher; the second letter is an a, not an o.
Shared this on my Facebook today…it seems many of my close friends are going through a lot really hard stuff…and I’ve been looking for the words to encourage them…this is it. Thanks for making plain words beautiful.
I’m so in love with this quote… It never not applies. :]
Fabulous! Thanks for sharing.
Oh how I needed this today! Was feeling so overwhelmed! Thanks =)
What font is the script?
It’s my hand-writing.
