Project Life 2013 | Week Twenty (Studio Calico Project Life Kit)
Tags:Welcome to Project Life 2013 | Week Twenty (May 13-19).
Each month during 2013 one of my Project Life weeks will be using the Studio Calico Project Life kit.
You can check out all the new kits for June (called Roundabout) over at Studio Calico here: Scrapbook Kit | Project Life Kit | Card Kit.
Totally loving the gold and orange/yellow pieces this month.
I like how having a kit can simplify the process. Limited ingredients = limited choices = less time spent on messing around with getting it "just right."
For me the handwriting piece also keeps it simple. I like seeing all those cards filled with words from our week.
I also really like cutting up the journal cards. Here I cut this one vertically down the middle and then machine stitched around the edge.
My favorite thing I did this week was cut those circles from the journal cards. I like see-through elements so I'll likely be backing them with something cut to the same size so it's still transparent (at least that's the plan at the moment).
That star stamp will get used a bunch I imagine too (you can see it on the "hello I'm tired" card. I definitely have a thing for stars.

Oh how I adore seeing your PL pages. I find them to be so inspiring.
CAN NOT WAIT for Hello Story! I just started going back through Y&T from like 3 years ago (I'm finally ready!) and am always so blown away by how much more you give as part of your classes. From the big things like the huge amount of content, endless inspiration and making sure we have technical tutorials as needed to the littler things like making the file names really descriptive and uniform so it's easy to refer back and find exactly what you need. I so appreciate all you put into your classes to make them outstanding.

Hi Ali, LOVE the old photo. I am curious as to which one is you (?). On first glance I thought the middle girl was your daugther.

I'm in front and that's my sister in the middle :) - lots of family resemblance.

I appreciate seeing how you use the Studio Calico cards. I haven't been too excited by them and have considered stopping my subscription. Basically I was giving them a couple of months to see if they figured out what worked best (many iterations of calendars was not it for me). They're improving very slowly, but when I see how you manipulate the cards, I am encouraged. I hope they realize what a benefit they have in you!
