December Daily® 2014 | Day Twenty-One

Welcome to  December Daily® 2014 | Day Twenty-One.

Today the story I'm sharing is some of the things we did yesterday here at the beach. It's basically a simple accounting of the day which is a nice way to add details to my album. When I look back through this album one of the things I'm drawn to is the combination of days that have a lot of words and days that have just a few. I like both and both contribute to the overall story of this holiday season. Remember, it's not all or nothing.

Here's a look at my photo and my story and my page:

I hooked up my laptop to my Mom's ink jet printer ( HP Photosmart Premium C310) to print out this 5.5 inch x 6.25 inch photo.

Here it is in the album:

That photo of the ornament was taken with my DSLR. My Dad had hung some ornaments around the outside of the house - they were red originally but the stormy weather has wiped away most of the red. Have you captured yourself this holiday season? Make sure to include a self-portrait if you can in your documentation. You are a big part of the story.

Thanks Ali, so lovely and thanks for the reminder, 23 pages done and no self portrait yet! Maybe I'll do it tomorrow!

Hadn't even thought about or realised till now I don't appear anywhere, I still have a few days to achieve this :) I could feel the peace and calmness of your day in your words Ali.

Frango Mints! Now that brings back memories. I didn't know they sell them at Macy's. I will check that out.
Your self-portrait has been by far the most interesting photo I've seen for self-portrait shots.
    Beautiful job.

What a great page! Luck girl, getting to spend time at the beach. Other than my family, the beach is what I miss most since moving to CO. We watched Love Actually the other night, too. One of my favorites to watch at Christmas time.

Me too! Great shot! I like using mirrored objects as well but I hadn't thought about an ornament!

    I love that photo.

I'm always working on complimentary photos, not necessarily ones that tell the story.

lovely photo, I did make it into my album at the very beginning of December, the whole family looked over it last night and we realised poor Hubby hasn't been represented and need to fix that before December is over.

Hey Ali, just got my art print today. What a thoughtful gesture. You are so cool my fellow Oregonian (and Peru travel buddy). Joy and blessings to you, Aaron and all you love.

Today, among the restless cabin-fever kids begging to open presents early, the mailman delivered a surprise from you- an "Our story is IMPERFECT and AWESOME" print. Your kind note about the delays of the December Daily kit were thoughtful, and the print was a perfectly worded reflection of my family, and an unexpected Christmas gift. Thank you Ali, and Merry Christmas to you!

Love the text in the blank space. Technical question....how did you get the curve around the image?
