The AEzine will be taking a break for the next couple of weeks so I can put all my energy & creativity into the book I am currently working on. If you need a litte reading material for today, check out these quotes that have been inspiring me - some you may have seen me post before, others may be new:

Re your quote from Mother Teresa: Being a joyous, art-loving, people-embracing but somewhat conservative soul, I am always disheartened at the notion of hand-outs without the hand attached, welfare programs that celebrate the gift but not the well-being of the receiver, "giving a cup of rice" without caring enough to follow through and see that the situation is actually improved, if only a cupful at a time. Through a life filled with volunteer efforts here and abroad, I've found that anonymous charity breeds either contempt or unreasonable expectations. Much more satisfying all round to be attached to what you do. Kudos for what you're doing with autism!
