Finding the spirit.

Daily documentation is not easy. Plain and simple.

Stuff gets in the way. Work and dishes and laundry and meetings and shopping and on and on.

Today as I was doing a bit of shopping after a meeting I started getting excited again. Re-energized. I have been focusing on all the other things in life this past week, getting out of the flow of the season. Now I am back in the mood: wrapping, food planning for the time our guests will be here, picking up last minute gifts, and simply chilling in front of the tree listening to Christmas music. Feeling the spirit.

Tonight I will get back on track with my daily entries, or maybe I will watch It's A Wonderful Life with my boys again. Either way, it will be with a much renewed sense of spirit.

I am amazed, once again, how quickly the days are going and how soon Christmas will really be upon us. I vow to stop and smell the pine boughs and then it all just zooms by!

The whole point of the album is to document the spirit of the holidays and that isn't any fun when you aren't feelin' the Christmas juju! I'm sure a couple days off relaxing with your family and doing all the "FUN" holiday stuff will get you right back to where you want to be. Enjoy!!

We all try really hard to keep up with everything. I've learned the most important thing is to keep up with my family and myself. Spending time with my boys is one of the best things I can do.
If you wouldn't mind, when you have time, could you repost the quote you had up last week? I wanted to copy it down and I never got a chance. No hurry!
    Thank you.

Watched It's A Wonderful Life the other day.
    Cried.
Will my life have that much meaning to others?

This struggle with daily life is what you need to document. You should show that kicking back and enjoying your family is the true essence of the Christmas Spirit.
