My biggest photo challenge would be organizing them on my computer. I have them chronologically and that is it. Sometimes I print and scrap a photo only to discover that I have already done that photo. Although that is okay to do, I would rather have spent that precious time doing a photo that has a story that still needs to be told.
I just want a simple system to organize photos on my computer that is not complicated and takes years to complete! I have two little ones under 3 and time is not something I have a lot of!

My biggest struggle with my photos is the fact that I have such a hard time deleting any. I take tons and tons of pictures, feel like I can't delete any of them because they are of my precious child, and then I don't get them scrapbooked because I couldn't make a decision on which ones to use. It's a terrible cycle I've gotten myself into!

Hi Ali,
I am sending with this note a ton of our Phoenix sunshine. (In return, would you mind sending a bit of your rain? Wink.) As for my photo challenge, I am a former 35mm photographer, turned digital who wants to return to SLR for more control. Or possibly I need to dive into my digital camera's manual to learn some new tricks? I am also in HUGE need of learning how to use the organizational tools in Adobe Photoshop.
Thanks for the inspiration!
:)Paula

My biggest struggle is organizing them. That and getting htem printed. Since digital I am not good about always getting them developed and when I do I should be dating them and putting some in albums but I don't. I have been wanting to organize my photos for a while now but always put it off.

My biggest struggle is that I have so many picutures that Iam not sure exactly how I should organize them, chronologically? by theme event?? Iam not sure.. I just file them as things happen..Of course Iam always playing catch up and I'm ok with that part of it. I wish I could just write down some notes beside each photo, but then I guess thats what scrapbooking is for.

My biggest problem is organizing the photos.
a) which to scrap from older pictures
b) how to save and store all the digital pictures
c) system to make these digital photos available to file and scrapbook.
I am overwhelmed, and since I have so many digital pictures, I just don't know what to do with them all.
HELP:) Jess

My biggest issues? I take to many photos, I don't organize them beyond the date (no tags) and I feel like I can't print anything without processing them.

My biggest photo struggle is cross referencing the photos I have taken and keeping track of the. Ihave a ton of photos, and I am in the process of organizing them and then scrapping them, but keeping track of them is not my strength!
(great challenge--thinking about this, that is!)

I struggle with wanting to scrap every picture. I have a hard time not using all the pictures that I take. I want to fully tell my stories not just scrap one cute pic on a page.

My biggest photo struggle is looking at the huge pile of pictures and feeling like I am so behind scrapbooking that I will never be caught up...But, I am trying to work on that! I have read your new book and it is helping me to think of those piles as potentional and not a drudgery! Thanks Ali!

I would say my biggest struggle is organization. I have TONS of photos, and I have tried to organize, but the process is so UN-FUN. I'd rather be doing anything else. Is there a 12 step program for me?

NOT taking pictures because I'm too much of a perfectionist. If the girl's hair is all messy, or if the boy's shirt has a ketchup stain, or the house doesn't look like something out of a Pottery Barn catalog...if everything isn't *just so* I don't take the picture. This is especially sad since it's hard to scrapbook photos you don't have. :(

Hmmmm... so many photo struggles but I guess picking the ones that really speak to me and how I want to use them in a layout.

my biggest struggle when it comes to photos? trying to decide the best way to organize them. Should I do them by date? by event? by category/type? Right now, I organize mine by date, but i'm thinking there's gotta be a better way.

My biggest problem is lighting. I recently bought a photo tent to try to help...that remains to be seen!

My biggest struggle is just to get them put away into their photo album after I've printed the, or to put the leftovers into their storage box after I've scrapped the others from their group. Doing that just isn't as enticing as actually scrapping, so I end up with multiple piles of photos on my table (and around my table). Then I have to look through the piles to figure out where the ones are that I actually want to scrap, or find out what the heck I was supposed to do with this or that pile.

Well, I'm not the best picture taker, but I try. Lately my biggest struggle has been to capture my children because they move so fast and when my flash is off (digital)it blurs very easily!

I have literally thousands of photos that need to be scrapped, as well as thousands of digital ones that haven't even been printed out...including many, many holdiays. I have a feeling this book could be a God-send!! We are in the process of building a studio addition and I can't wait to get going and get organized.

My biggest struggle photo struggle is deleting... I tend to keep way too many pictures and can't seem to part with any of them.

My biggest struggle is actually lighting - I've been reading how people never use a flash, shoot RAW, etc. I'm trying all of these ideas. I actually have my photos organized on my computer but can't seem to get farther than that!! Another challenge!!

my biggest struggle is not being overly critical of the pictures I take, thinking the lighting is bad, the subject is bad. And then just deleting them. I need to be able to enjoy the moment of the camera being in my hand and just taking the picture.

My struggle is consistantly organizing. I've never gotten in the groove since going digital.

My biggest photo problem is uploading the pictures from my camera to the computer and then finding the time to edit and print them. It takes forever for me to do all of those. I usually upload my photos when my memory stick is full and since I have a 4GB memory card on each of my cameras, it takes forever to upload them.
