Hello Monday.

Boys

I think we have finally got to the point where everyone around here is relatively healthy.

Simon is back to school and Chris and I are working away here at home. Work for me this week is all about getting ready for CKU in Chicago next weekend.

I had a great time this past weekend at the Portland Creating Keepsakes Convention. It's always nice to be able to do events somewhat locally - and to catch up with people I see from year to year.

One of the highlights was getting to meet a Portland photographer I have admired for awhile Jen Downer of She Saw Things (that has to be one of my favorite names for a creative business). We had dinner with my Mom on Friday night and then she came to my class on Saturday morning. There is really nothing better than connecting with another creative person "in person."

Another highlight was having Chris, Simon, and my in-laws come up to see Corteo (a Cirque du Soleil show in a very big tent in downtown Portland). It was wonderful and magical and Simon was totally into the whole thing. He has been big on adventures lately so this was quite a treat. It's playing throughout the rest of the month - if you are somewhat local you should check it out.

And of course, the political junkie in me is excited about tomorrow's primaries in Texas, Ohio, Rhode Island, and Vermont.

Here's to a really productive week.

Glad to hear everyone is healthy again in your corner of the world!
Do you think it would be too obvious if I wore my "Obama for a brighter America" t-shirt everyday until the PA primary in April? :)

I am a political junkie as well! I am orginally from Vermont! I am encouraging all my friends and family to get out and vote.
I currently work in Ohio, but live in Kentucky! I am so amazed how many of my co-workers had no idea there is a primary in Ohio tomorrow. They must be living under a rock! Ha! Ha!!
I am on pins and needles to hear the results tomorrow night!!

Ali~ It was really fun meeting you this weekend! Maybe we'll run into each other at the gym again. :-)
Thanks for the adhesive advice. I stocked up! I had to go back for the permanent one though, since originaly I bought the repositionable one. It didn't seem to hold things as well.
Looking forward to seeing what Chris accomplishes in the upcoming legislative session! I'm crossing my fingers for full day kindergarten funding. :-)

Love the photo and am glad that everyone is finally healthy. Always a good thing. Wish I could be at CKU in Chicago but my work schedule does not permit it at this time. sigh. Maybe next year in the summer? Hint. Hint.

I'm so excited about the primaries -- ours isn't until May...arg. But at least we can still have a gathering to watch the results come in tomorrow night.
Awesome picture too -- so cozy and sweet. I think it's awesome when you can see how much a Daddy loves his boy.

Howdy from Texas! I may be working one of the caucus meetings tomorrow night and I'm on pins and needles! Went to the Obama rally in Dallas a couple of weeks ago and wow, wow, wow. Exciting stuff!
