this may sound small and it may sound crazy...a huge dragonfly had gotten in our house & was trying all day to get out of one of the windows in our cathedral ceiling that do not open, nor could I reach that high with any ladders I had. So, we rigged up a "net" with our aquarium net, a Swiffer, and a pole with masking tape, let the scared bug land on the net, and slowly let him out on our deck. I swear, that poor bugger breathed a sigh of relief. So...I'm proud of taking the time to make life easier for something, no matter how small :-)

I am proud of me ... in being brave in self. I am finally calling myself "Artist" and am starting the process of finalizing my business name and setting up a DBA. {yes, I'm nervous!} But, I am doing it!!

I am so proud of myself for spending all weekend with my mom and grandma without getting into any deep unresolving discussions regarding family issues, or sibling troubles. We just enjoyed each others company. We went wine tasting at our Arts and Crafts fair in town, and had so much fun you would have never known that we were not 3 sisters, instead of 3 generations of women in the same family. We giggled and tasted each others wine, so we could try them all. Today I let my mom color and highlight my hair, and then I highlighted hers. It was so fun, more like we were girlfriends than mom and daughter. It is more fun not to get into all the harry stuff that gets between families, and sibling troubles. We just enjoyed spending time with each other. I'm so proud of myself for keeping my big trap shut. I plan to do that more often. I think sometimes about all the time I wasted griping about this and that to my mom when she would visit, or I would visit her. Just wasted time. During our wine tasting day, I thought about the fact that both my grandma and my mom won't be here forever, and how this day was so very important in all of our lives. Just a moment in time. But one we all will remember fondly.

I'm proud of my almost 3 year old son who conquered his fears and enjoyed the wonders of the ocean last week while we were on vacation. He surprised us all by getting in the water and having loads of fun.

Today I am proud of our family for having such a good time when we are all together. Today we worked together to get ready for a huge party we are having next weekend. It was a hot and sweaty day, yet we still had a fun time. Everyday something happens that reminds us that being together is what it's all about!
