Upcoming Scrapbook Events, New Designer Digitals, & A Couple Digital Freebies
Looking for a scrapbook retreat/event to attend this year? I've got just a couple in-person things planned for 2010 that I am excited to share with you: one in the US with Technique Tuesday where I will be teaching a journaling workshop and one in Greece with Cocoa Daisy. If 2011 is better for you, I will be be traveling to Italy with ScrapMap in 2011.
The super creative team at Technique Tuesday have put together a new event called B.L.I.S.S. that will be held June 10th through June 12th in Portland, Oregon. The weekend involves six creative sessions, including a new 2-hour journaling workshop taught by me. You can get all the details, including cost and lodging, here.
In September I will be traveling with Cocoa Daisy to Mykonos, Greece for an international destination adventure along with Jenni Bowlin and Karen Russell. The dates for this event are September 20th through the 26th. I will be teaching a new Scrapbook On The Road class - perfect for documenting this vacation event or another adventure in the future. I also wanted to let you know about two free downloads that were recently featured on Shutterfly's Celebrations blog. Click the links to download via their blog.
The first free download is a Digital Quick Page (this means all the layers are flattened & you don't move individual elements around). Just add your photos behind the "open windows" and add some journaling.
The second free download is a package of winter digital elements.

Ali, you are one of the main reasons I signed up for B.L.I.S.S.!!! Your style of scrapbooking really motivates me and the stamps you design for Technique Tuesday just bring it all home. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THEM!!! I may sound dumb for asking this question, but can you explain to me how the designer digitals work? I do traditional scrapbooking and the only thing I use my computer for is photo editing (photoshop) and maybe typing up journaling. I have wanted to experiment a little bit more, but I guess fear is all that is stopping me. Thanks so much! Again, can't wait for B.L.I.S.S.

I have downloaded a few quick pages, but have yet to try it. I won a Reneed Pearson class, "Just the Basics" but havent' finished yet. I am sure they will all come in handy once I learn to do it all. Thanks so much.
