Having my hubby home to join in the traditions this year. This will be the first year he won't be working retail during the holiday season. It's going to be odd but fun for my little family.

I look forward to simple family traditions during the holiday season. This time of year is bittersweet for me; my mom passed away several years ago and I miss her so much this time of year but we keep the same traditions that she began with us as children and it helps to keep her memory alive.

I'm looking forward to digging deeper this December with the December Daily. My scrapbooking so far has been very event-oriented and the journaling could have been written by anyone. Working on the DD will help me prepare for your "Yesterday and Today" class at the end of December. I also look forward to documenting the everyday as part of my efforts to make routine things routine rather than rushing around unprepared.

I don't have kids, but there's always the annual trip for a picture with Santa with my dog, Pal.

And "The Joy of Cooking" tipsy eggnog.

To echo others, I am looking forward to time with family & friends most too. But also to good food, special outings, time by the twinkly lights of the tree, and just the spirit of the Christmas season.

I am looking forward to celebrating the traditions that my husband and I have with our 9 and 12 year old. It is fun for us to hear them say they want to do some of the things we have been doing with them since they were little. Making reindeer food and setting up our winter village are 2 favorites.
