This is my first christmas since my divorce, and I am excited to get into the spirit of the season! This year I have decided, along with making cards, I am going to handmake gifts for family and friends. However, I am most excited about making some christmas decorations and am hoping my 15yr old son will join in in what I intend to become a family tradition! This reminds so much of christmas as a child when we would all sit together, surrounded by mess, fun and laughter (plus the odd cross word) creating what we thought were beautiful decorations (hmm). Looking back I know that what we made were great christmas memories-and it is this which I hope to create with my son

I look forward to working and earning extra so my family can go home to the UK to see our family in February. The extra allows us to do this alternative to tradition!

I am looking forward to family time. And I am also looking forward to seeing how my nephew reacts to opening presents and everything - he was too little last year to know what was happening. Thank you for the opportunity.

This past year has been an incredible journey re-connecting with long lost family. New bonds have resulted beyond what they ever were. The upcoming holidays will be cherished time with them. A celebration of relationships, new and old that have been long overdue will be the highlight as we enjoy old family traditions and begin new ones together. As adults, we will have the opportunity to create a new legacy for our children. Ones that our parents will be jumping for joy about from above.

Ali, What beautiful giveaways! I'm looking forward to opening my senses to all the season has to offer in order to make my first December Daily effort memorable. I'm looking forward to watching my 3 year old son's eyes light up at the magic of everyday things. And I'm looking forward to watching my husband (who is generally pretty "blah" about holidays) grow more and more excited as Christmas draws near and he experiences the season through the eyes of our sweet boy.

I am looking forward to the holiday's because I will finally get to see my husband after not seeing him for almost 3 months. He is flying home to move us down to Arkansas to start our new life. I have no family there, or friends but we will finally all be back together again and that's what I hold on to. Thanks for the chance to win!!

3 months ago I took custody of my 17 month old grandson, so the thing I look forward to the most is sharing the magic of Christmas with him.
I plan on doing my December Daily as way to record every special moment. And best of all - Christmas falls on a Saturday this year - so I will even have the day off work!!

I look forward to 21st December, my Mum's birthday and the shortest day over here in England, from then on it gets lighter, so a double celebration.
I love all the carol services and chances to get together with friends and family and wear a bit of sparkle.

family and MUSIC!!! I love secular music (think: Trans-Siberian Orchestra) and religious music (think: Messiah) played at full blast. Thank goodness my 83-year old mom is hard of hearing; my happy volume is just right for her!!!
