November Studio AE from Technique Tuesday Blog Hop

Welcome to November Studio AE from Technique Tuesday Blog Hop.

This month's stamp is Memories of Home.

Here's a look at my layout:

And a look at my process:

I started off by adhering two 5x7 photos to a sheet of kraft cardstock and cropped it closer to the edges of the photo with a bit more room on the top. This whole piece ends up getting adhered to my background pattern paper.

Along the top I stamped the little circles using Tim Holtz Rubber Stamp DOTTED Background from Stampers Anonymous with Colorbox Frost White Ink Pad (totally love this white ink).

My background pattern paper is American Crafts/Amy Tangerine Surrounded Kraft Finish 12X12 Ready Set Go Paper (the love pattern). I repeated the same stamping of circles along the left edge.

On top of that stamping I added a piece of Heidi Swapp Sunshine Trimmings + a strip of BasicGrey Paper Cottage Afgan pattern paper + pieces cut from Heidi Swapp Sugar Chic Banner Delights Glitter Borders + a Heidi Swapp Definition Sticker (popped up with a foam dot). Here's what that ended up looking like:

Along the bottom edge of the page, and on top of the bottom photo, I added a little tag made with kraft paper and the heart-house from the Memories of Home stamp set. I used a cursive typewriter to add the "no place like home" sentiment.

I also added a small piece I cut from the Heidi Swapp Sugar Chic Banner Delights Glitter Borders.

I machine stitched a box around each photo and added journaling strips (the stitching included the "no place like home" tag). The "e" is from the Prima Press #2 stamp set. You can also see above how I repeated the white circles again just lightly along the bottom right edge.

Additional stitching was used to keep the journal strips in place.

I repeated the Heidi Swapp Sugar Chic Banner Delights Glitter Borders along the right edge of the top photo and along the top of the photo mat.

Love how placing the same embellishment in multiple spots helps tie it together. I forget to do that. And I must try that white ink.
