Type | New 12-Week Workshop Now Open For Registration

I'm super excited to let you guys know that registration is now open for my new 12-week workshop: Type

This workshop begins Monday, April 20th and will cover a whole bunch of fun and informative topics/ideas/inspirations related to working with type (alphabet stickers, letter stamps, hand lettering, and fonts) in your memory keeping projects.

As with most of my workshops, content will be delivered in the form full-color handouts, keynote presentations that cover the main topic, and live video where I share my process for creating projects. There will also be a message board and gallery for sharing the things you create during the length of the workshop.

As with all my workshops, you are able to continue accessing the information after the live class portion has ended.

Here's an 8-min overview of the topics that are included over the 12-week workshop (this is also available on the shop page for the class):

Early Bird Discount | 20% off if you sign up between March 20th and April 6th.

I have to tell you that I'm super excited about the content for this workshop and I love the idea of focusing on type and experimenting with different ways to get our words onto our projects.

Check out the weekly topic schedule along with a bit more information and sign-up here

You're invited! Hope to see you in class.

I'm fairly new to your blog and I rarely sign up for classes. However, from the videos I've seen from you, I find I really enjoy your teaching/speaking style. I signed up for the class and I can't wait!

I signed up the moment I read the announcement! Ali, will there be any mention at all of calligraphy? (like a tutorial or tips). I LOVE your handwriting, and would love to learn from you :)

So excited for this class. I have taken your other 12 week courses and loved them. So much information and inspiration. I would also like to thank you for all the effort and tremendous quality you put into your classes and the month story kits/classes. They are so inspiring, many times well beyond the theme of the class. You so help me think deeply about the stories I want to tell and provide wonderful and unique ideas for how to tell them. I don't usually comment on blogs or message boards, but I wanted you to know how much I appreciate your work, efforts, and ideas.

I echo others in thanking you for all the fantastic classes and work that you do. I think I'm slightly addicted to your workshops, kits etc. I keep signing up for it all and am so behind where I'd like to be. I really don't know how you get all that you do done!! I've never really thought about type and was going to pass this by but now I'm intrigued...for exactly that reason - that I never really thought about it!

Hi Ali - really looking forward to doing this workshop with you - but I have a query. For the next few months I will be really busy and will not be able to start until the summer - and so how long do we have access to the class after it is finished ? Kind regards - Joanne

Hi Joanne - you will have indefinite access. We aren't calling it forever access, but these classes are set up so you can continue to get into the classroom as long as my site is running.

Ali, I am considering signing up. OK, I KNOW I will be doing so, but I have a question. What version of Photoshop would you recommend for home use? I am a bit overwhelmed by the options. Also, is it a one time purchase or is there a monthly charge? I saw so many options when I looked into it online. Thanks, class looks awesome. Laura

Hi Laura - I believe (someone can correct me if I'm wrong) that you can still buy Photoshop Elements for a one-time payment. I believe that Photoshop (the full program) is just available monthly via a Creative Cloud subscription. I use Photoshop here at home and will be using that for the tutorials. Adobe.com would be the place to go for the most current information.

Hi Ali, thank you for replying so quickly. I appreciate the information and found the direction I needed. I am excited to be trying something new and creative. I am drawn to type and graphics and love your classes because you actually teach how to create and design. I am looking forward to the class.

Hi Ali - will this class be adaptable to Project Life-style pages? I love your classes but don't to a lot of traditional scrapbook layouts.

    Thank you!
