The Good Old Days Kit Scrapbook Layout #2

The second traditional scrapbook layout I made using The Good Old Days Kit is a little story about the evolution of our blended family.

If you are just jumping in make sure to check out my post that introduces you to this release and includes a shipping special that is on until 8/26/19 at 11:59PM Eastern.

For this second project I really wanted to incorporate the 12x12 transparency either on top of my layout or as it's own page. Using that gave me the ability to add those large numbers right on top of the transparency and then layer that entire page on top of the "document" pattern paper and my 12 inch x 6 inch photo.

That photo was printed here at my house using a new Epson XP-15000 printer. My older oversized printer was close to meeting it's end and I decided to see if I could find one that was smaller, more affordable, and still printed up to 13 inches x 9 inches. I'm super happy with this one so far and it takes up so much less space than my previous printer.

Here's a look at the completed page:

I ended up reprinting my photo after adding journaling on top. I also added the "love" chipboard circle from the kit along with a couple other chipboard circles from my stash. Along the bottom of the page I added a strip of this pattern paper

To make my plus and equals sign I used a yellow puffy number sticker sheet. Of course after I finished the whole thing I did find that there is a plastic "plus" sign included with this kit - it was hiding under my pile of stuff.

Here's a look at the two pieces of the layout on their own:

Love that you can either layer the transparency on top or put it into a 12x12 page protector and let it have it's own page. Totally works either way.

Thanks so much for sharing the Good Ole Days layouts you're doing. As usual they are great and very inspiring.
