Project Life® 2020 | July
Decided to go simple with my July documenting in my 2020 Project Life album.
As I was working on this project I was thinking a lot about how I'm currently loving this project as a way to capture pieces of the month. It's totally not a record of everything we did, but an overview. Right now an overview is feeling just fine.
Here's a look at how it came together in my album:
This month I decided to go directly to my Instagram account and copy + paste text from some of my longer posts. I pasted the text onto digital journal cards that I adjusted in Photoshop before printing. On some of the cards I added some messy stamping using stamps from the July Stories By The Month kit.
In July I participated in Everyday Explorers Co. Positivity Passport Challenge. I decided to simply write down one good thing that happened each day within the notebook using a brush pen. It came in a little clear pocket and I used a Power Punch to punch holes so I could add it to my album.
It was really fun for me to do a words-only project for the month.
My second insert for July included two full page photos printed at 8.5 inch x 11 inch. One is a photo of Anna from one of our adventures - on top I added one of the chipboard pieces from the July Stories By The Month kit. Along the edge I added an Avery Index Tab.
On the other side I paired a photo with some journaling on a 8.5 inch x 11 inch canvas. I used a couple digital word art pieces from the 2020 July Stories By The Month Digital Kit.
Here's a look at the spread without the inserts:
On the "July Memories" card I repeat stamped "so darn fun" to add a little "something" to the card. On top I added a word/phrase sticker that says "embracing imperfection." I added a couple more chipboard shapes onto a couple photos on the second page of the spread.
Here's a look at how this month came together:

Ali, beautiful layouts, thank you for the inspiration!
Question: Do you see yourself using 2 9x12 albums to document the year? Or was 1 enough last year?
Thanks!
I was able to get it all in one last year and am hoping for that again this year.
Thank you for your reply. I ended up reading your blog posts last night and I think I am going to try 9x12 for 2020. Thanks again!

Ali I have really enjoyed watching how you put together PL spreads in a 9x12 album. I haven’t even started 2020 yet, but think I’m ready to change things up and try it! I thought I had read somewhere earlier this summer where you mentioned other 9x12 album colors may be coming out this fall. Is that in the works at all? Thank you!
