December Daily® 2021 | Story 13

Welcome to Story #13 in my December Daily® album for 2021.

We have two birthdays around here in December. Up first is Elliot and today's story talks a bit about our gathering and his gifts and how it was awesome to see he + Isaac getting along (keeping it real over here in teenage land).

Let's dive into the video:

And here's a look at the spread in and out of my album:

For today's page I decided to do a custom die cut using my Silhouette Cameo. I originally cut this out with some star pattern paper from the Star Scrapbook Kit but decided to go over the top of the pattern paper with white embossing powder (you can check that process out in the video).

I used Attacher Stickers (we hope to restock these in the shop in the new year) to add the die cut word art to my album. After folding over the stickers I ran them through my sewing machine for some color + texture.

I used glitter stars from the Sticker Advent Calendar on the front + back of the die cut word art and also placed that above my journaling on top of the 10 inch x 8 inch photo.

Along the bottom of the photo I added journaling squares that were cut from one of the die cut page designs. I stamped "oh what fun" next to the number on each of the journaling squares and added my journaling below. These were adhered to the photo using foam adhesive squares.

I cut out another banner from one of the 10 inch x 8 inch pattern papers and used foam adhesive to adhere it on top of the glitter star.

Beautiful layout! I love that you changed it to white, with the black and white it is gorgeous ! Can I ask what font you used in the Silhouette for your title? Thank you.

Beautiful, Ali. How fun to celebrate birthdays in December!
Could you staple the A and Y (where they connect at the bottom) with the tiny attacher?

That's what I ended up doing - hoping it will hold.

I appreciate that you just felt free to leave the back of that other page as is and not try to fiddle with it! I sometimes get caught up what to do with the backs of every page, so this was refreshing to see! Thanks for sharing.

I may have missed it in the video- but did you adhere the journaling squares to the bottom of the actual photo or on the outside of the page protector?. Just curious. the cutout lettering turned out really fun - and gotta love those attacher stickers- they make adding various things so easy!! No more wondering how to punch holes in things!

Love the Silhouette page. Always love a big page of words :)
I have done the same thing with a floating letter or embellishment. Sometimes putting an embellishment touching both letters on the front and the back will hold them together. Similar to how you attached the star.

I love how this layout came together, I am going to make a cut file similar for my daughters Birthday on the 29th! She's going to be 11!!! Thanks Ali.
