Auckland, Day Two.

Kingedwards

One of the biggest blessings of this trip is the chance to spend time with my sister and Jeffrey. They live far away from me and travel all the time so getting to be in one place with them for a whole week is a real treat. And they like to shop.

Yesterday we found lots more cool stores in the Parnell area of Auckland. Including an antique store where I found that awesome sign.

We also visited a store called Passion for Paper which was lovely. Very cool stuff.

But my favorite part of the day was a manicure and pedicure that Jessica and I did together. A couple hours just sitting next to each other, being pampered a bit, and talking. Catching up. Reminiscing. Being sisters. Awesome.

Last night was dinner with the group - loved having everyone have the chance to meet Jessica.

Today we begin our journey south towards Wellington. And Donna arrives this morning. Looking forward to seeing a bit more of the country.

And this, this makes me laugh. Jeffrey and the elephants. He has a great sense of humor.

    your trip sounds wonderful!
question for you, cathy and her daughter: you're all wearing/carrying bags of bright colors. are they purses? totes? I bet they're adorable... any photos of the bags? (i HEART bags!)
if you all got them at the same place - where would that be?

Sorry gotta stop posting but now that you are in my backyard I am finding it hard to stop recommending places to visit! Which brings me to Rotorua! You should go on the Luge (fun for the whole family) and to the Agrodome - they have the Zorb and an awesome chocolate/fudge shop! Have fun!!! :)

Ali, thanks for keeping us updated on your trip...I love hearing about what you're seeing and doing! The pic of your sister and you is just beautiful! I don't have a sister myself, but I can imagine how much fun it would be to spend time traveling and SHOPPING (my fave next to scrapbooking) together. Bethany
