Not good & good.
Bad fish & chips = sick Jessica & Ali.
Spent the night in Rotorua - interesting place filled with lots of thermal activity, hot pools, etc.. We got into town later than the others (lots of antique stores we needed to stop at along the way of course) and decided to eat on our own. Not a good choice.
Both Jessica and I were up in the bathroom in the middle of the night (multiple times) - she seems to have it worse than me. It is almost 24 hours later and we both are still not feeling well. I think Jeffrey must have an iron stomach because we all ate the same thing down to our bottled cokes.
After having a tough time getting up (and not so excited at the prospect of riding in the car) Jeffrey drove us from Rotorua (Jessica sleeping in the back and me watching Jeffrey drive in the reclined front seat) to a great little place in the wine region of Napier. So wish we were both feeling better - but the place we are staying is super nice with a big fireplace crackling away.
Tomorrow we leave for Wellington. And a get together with the other teachers tomorrow night. Classes begin Friday morning.

Poor you nothing worse than being away from home and feeling sick. How cool is it that so many famous people were in Rotorua only an hour from where I live.

So sorry to hear you guys got sick in NZ. It may not have been the fish and chips as there is a tummy (stomach) bug going around at the moment. I had it last week and I agree it is NOT fun! I really hope you are feeling better ASAP and the weather gets a bit better for you too (I live in Wellington and am coming to your classes!!)

My favorite restaurant in Rotorua is Sirocco. We had the best salads that we've ever had in our lives there. I'm getting jealous again...

Feeling very bad that happened to you on your holiday - apparently if you drink Anchor brand red cordial (diluted) it kills all sorts of bugs and nasties - Aussies take it on their holidays to Bali to stop getting Bali belly. Might be worth a try! Hope you are feeling better soon.

Sorry you're sick!! Get to a health food store & get some Grapefruit Seed Extract. Put a few drops in some water. It kills any little parasite you may have picked up, really. We don't travel without it. It's especially good for those fishy-type ones (like is Sushi).
And btw. Thanks for the blog about experiencing rather than avoiding. I sent it to my SIL who had a really bad day!
