Christmas Art Journal.
Feeling a bit better today - thanks for all the kind thoughts.
One of my favorite parts about the holidays last year was participating in Shimelle's Christmas Art Journal Class. Even though I didn't finish it last year, I love how it connected me daily to the holiday season in an artful and reflective way. I love that it gave me something to focus on and pushed me to try new things.
Here is one sample page I completed last year:
The rest of my pages from last year are located in my Art Journal folder to the right.
I highly recommend this experience. No pressure. Just good prompts and lots of sharing with others on the same journey. Not sure yet if I am going to have a chance to participate this year - December is shaping up to be pretty busy for us with a couple weekend workshops, a vacation, and hopefully a move into a new house. If my new house gets decorated I will consider that a huge accomplishment.
AND...if you leave a comment on here between now and 5pm Pacific today (my time) you will be entered into a drawing to take the class for free. Shimelle gave me two spots to give away - so make sure to leave your name in the comments. I will draw two names later tonight or tomorrow.
Loved your art journal from last year and especially the layout on your blog--a good reminder it is good to simplify and enjoy.
I would love to have my name drawn!
Thanks, Tracy

Is it 5 pm in your neck of the woods yet? Not sure...
I'm a bit bummed... inspired by you I made a scrapbook on the road this summer when on vacation in Canada. A few weekends ago it - and a whole Cropper Hopper XXL full of scrapbook supplies, but even worse: 2 scrapbook albums full of layouts and two smaller albums - got stolen out my car. Everytime I see something scrapbook related (which is often) I have to think about it again and it still makes me nauseous (sp?)...
I'm going to check out Shimelle's classes anyway, even if I don't win a spot... I could really use the motivation to get more and new memories onto paper!
Hugs, Nancy

I LOVE your pages from Shimelle's Christmas class last year. (I looked on each day to see if you had posted a new one. ) I have been to her site a few times, but I've just not figured I had enough time to dedicate to it. Maybe I should make that a New Year's resolution!!!
Have a great weekend!

Good luck on the new house move! I'd hate to be moving during the holidays but I'm sure you'll love being in a new place on Christmas morning. I'm hoping to take that class - I loved what you did with it last year. TFS!
